Overview

About the property

3 Bedroom 2 Bath Walk to Downtown Bradenton

My cute cottage is well situated in the Village of the Arts near downtown Bradenton. Walk to galleries, restaurants, downtown farmers market, Riverwalk, microbreweries, LECOM Park (Mckechnie Field), winter home of the Pittsburgh Pirates, and the library. Sleeps up to 6 with 1 queen bed, 2 twin beds and a daybed with trundle. Open plan living room and modern kitchen. Cable tv and wifi. Washer & dryer. Private back yard. Non-smoking premise.

If you are looking for a white bread and mayonnaise neighborhood, don't come here. This diverse urban neighborhood is an eclectic mix of working class neighbors, galleries, studios and restaurants. It's kitschy with character.

About Claudia Wizner

I'm a displaced northern girl from the Catskill Mountains of New York. I've been in Florida over 12 years. I live in the Village of the Arts and love the closeness of the community and the friendliness of the people. Everyone is welcome here. If you come, I hope you will enjoy the hospitality and the small town feel of the neighborhood.

Why Claudia Wizner chose Bradenton

15 years ago people had a vision for this neighborhood. At that time it was blighted and boarded up. Then people came and began the transformation from blight to kitsch. The neighborhood has come a long way from it's beginnings. It's still in transition. But I believe in the vision and that's why I have this property. I love the people who live here and the art they create. It's a great place to live and I hope you will enjoy it, too.

What makes this cottage unique

The village of the arts is walkable. You can stroll around the corner and visit galleries and studios. A little further and you can dine in some fabulous restaurants.. There are two bakeries here. There are two microbreweries on the village perimeter. The stadium is 4 blocks away. In the other direction is downtown Bradenton with the Riverwalk, the library, the farmers market in the winter. If you want a place with character instead of a cookie cutter condo, this is it.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Claudia's cottage was the perfect hideaway for a few of us that were in town for a conference. She met us at the cottage and gave us the tour. There were some baked goods in the fridge, and menus for some local restaurants that she recommended. We absolutely loved the Arte Cafe (Italian) around the corner for lunch, and the brewery up the street for a cold drink. We had problems with the air conditioning after a power outage one day, Claudia had a repair company dispatched right away and the house was cool again before we went to bed. Would gladly stay there again.

We stayed at the cottage over the Fourth of July weekend. We went to the local beaches which are a short drive away and our family of 6 felt very comfortable there and it was a very enjoyable place to stay.

The owner, Claudia, met us upon arrival and was so sweet and helpful! She showed us where to find everything we needed. The cottage was very neat and clean and we loved the outdoor space...very private! We would definitely stay here again!

We loved having the fenced in backyard for our dog. Claudia and her husband were very accommodating and supplied us with suggestions to local restaurants and things going on in the neighborhood. Convenient location to downtown Bradenton and the Riverwalk was less than a mile.

Cottage Rental in Bradenton

  • 5 of 5

We had a good experience renting this cottage. We were not looking to stay on the beach, so the location worked good for us. Property owner was great about communication and meeting us at the house with the keys. The home is newly remodeled on the inside & with a big fenced-in backyard. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils & pots/pans so that we could cook dinner rather than eating at restaurants. I traveled with an older person & young adults.
