The Scenic Ridge Cabin is truly a special place! It's a private retreat located on three acres just north of Lawton and Medicine Park, Oklahoma, and is situated in the foothills of the Wichita Mountains. The location features a wrap around patio offering unparalleled panoramic views of Mount Sheridan, Tarbone Mountain, and Mount Scott to the south and the Slick Hills and Blue Canyon Wind Farm to the north.

Our cozy and romantic octagon-shaped cabin is located near the Wichita Mountain Wildlife Refuge, where you will find over 59,000 acres of hiking, climbing, fishing, boating, and wildlife viewing. The famous Meers Restaurant is only two miles to the east and the quaint cobblestone community of Medicine Park is just 15 minutes away.

Spring Break 2024

This place was great. Beautiful view just as listed. This was a great location for all the hiking spots we completed on our trip. The house was beautiful inside and out. This will definitely be on my list when we cisit again.

Peaceful Mountain Getaway with Stunning Nature Views

My recent stay at this cabin was an absolute delight. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the impeccable cleanliness and maintenance of the property. The cabin effortlessly blends rustic charm with modern comfort.The highlight of my stay was the beautiful wrap-around porch and the breathtaking views of the mountains. It became a morning ritual to enjoy coffee while watching deer and goats wander nearby – a truly serene experience. Inside, the cabin was equally charming. The living area boasted a super comfortable couch, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The kitchen was well-equipped with a large refrigerator and everything else needed for a comfortable stay. The firepit outside was a fantastic addition for the chilly evenings. Sleeping arrangements were ideal, with a cozy bedroom and a loft that comfortably fit two people. The cabin's location near Mt. Scott and various hiking trails in the Wichita Mountain Wildlife Refuge was perfect for outdoor enthusiasts like myself. It was wonderful to be so close to nature and yet have all the comforts of home. The hosts deserve a special mention for their excellent communication. The check-in process was a breeze, and they were always quick to respond to any questions. This cabin is a perfect blend of nature, comfort, and convenience. Ideal for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and immerse themselves in the tranquility of the mountains. Highly recommend!

Book It

A cabin with everything you need. Bring you, your clothes, your personal hygiene stuff, and your food. Everything else was provided. Quality appliances, quality linens, quality towels, plenty of hot water, fantastic cookware, plateware, utensils, quality toilet paper, stocked seasoning cabinet, tupperware, garbage bags, paper towels, quality outdoor propane grill. No complaints. Would choose this cabin over a hotel any day of the week and twice on Sunday. Four days/three nights. Had a great time. A family of deer in the yard one evening and again the next morning. Pest/bug free. So pleased with this cabin. Far enough away from Lawton to feel "country" but close enough, 35 minutes, to go grocery shopping at a super Walmart or get a meal at Golden Corral. No washer/dryer but how long you staying? Comfortable furniture, DVD library, books, games, and pamphlets of local attractions. Book it.

We have loved coming to the Wichita Mountain Wildlife Refuge and Medicine Park since we moved back to Oklahoma City in 2000. Scenic Ridge Cabin provides us a welcome reset from our day-to-day lives in OKC. We appreciate every opportunity we can to enjoy our cabin and escape our busy lives, but when we can't make it - we love sharing it with others!

Why they chose this property

We had frequently daydreamed about having a little getaway near the Wichita Mountain Wildlife Refuge and Medicine Park and were thrilled to stumble onto the Scenic Ridge Cabin "for sale" over Memorial Day weekend of 2015. We stayed for a "test" weekend and immediately fell in love with the cabin, with its special location on three acres overlooking Mount Scott, Mount Sheridan, Tarbone Mountain, the Slick Hills and the windmill farm. Our unique octagon shaped cabin has been lovingly and thoughtfully renovated and furnished. The views are incredible, and nothing beats relaxing on the wrap around patio.

What makes this property unique

Some of our favorite things about our cabin include: coffee or a glass of wine on the wrap around patio; the artisan touches and finishes; the privacy and solitude; nightly bunny sightings (most often at dusk;) collared lizards hanging out on the rocks; occasional owl sightings; proximity to Meers, Medicine Park, and the Wichita Wildlife Refuge; cooking dinner for a relaxing evening on the couch, watching a movies or a football game; wild turkeys scattered about our neighborhood; our kind neighbors and their sweet and loving dogs.
