Great for large families and entertaining!

  • 5 of 5

I spent a lot of time on Lake Sinclair growing up and this was our first family trip to the lake with our children. The house is well suited for entertaining and has plenty of space. The owners are very responsive and we didn't have any issues during our stay. Boat dock was nice and had plenty of deep water. We will always remember our first family lake trip and thank you for allowing us to use your awesome property.

Great place for GCSU graduation for a group!

  • 5 of 5

Enjoyed our long weekend get away at this comfy, spacious home with family joining us from CA for our son's GCSU graduation. We were able to relax on the porch while a blue heron entertained us with several visits, tool around the beautiful lake with a pontoon rental from Jereshai, motor over to Jackson's for dinner, & cook a couple full meals for our group of 8 adults. Everything worked well to accommodate our group & Lauren was very responsive. Having a pontoon made it much easier to get into town for graduation with cars parked at the marina. Thanks for sharing your lake house with us!

Very dirty house with cockroaches inside and fire ants all throughout the yard!

  • 2 of 5

Pros- beautiful views, helpful owner

Cons - Dirty and filled with bugs, outside unusable due to numerous fire ant mounds throughout the grassy yard

Booked Lauren’s vacation home for an Easter weekend trip with my parents and in laws. We were very disappointed to walk into a home that looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. Dead roaches were on the floor, in the door jam and on the kitchen counters. There were rings around the toilets like they hadn’t been flushed in months. The outside was almost as bad. Fire ant mounds were everywhere throughout the property. We are from North Carolina so I understand fire ants are part of living in the south but they can and should be taken care of so you aren’t stepping on them while walking through the grassy part of the yard.

Lauren, the homeowner, offered to have her cleaning crew come out the next day for the dead roaches but the damage was done. Neither one of the parents wanted to stay there so we left after one night as that was the soonest we could find alternate accommodations. Review would have been one star if not for the great lake views and helpful owner.

Owner's Response: Bryan B., We apologize that we were unable to make your stay with us satisfactory. However, we worked hard to try to fix the issues that you pointed out in your review, including offering to send a cleaning crew out, to remove the cockroaches you found and to treat the fire ant mound, despite being the weekend of Easter. After your trip we felt it was important to visit the house ourselves to ensure that this is not something that other travelers will ever experience. As can be seen by our numerous 5 star reviews we work hard to ensure all our guests have a great experience when staying at our home. We too enjoy the house and work hard to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and enjoyable family experiences. Lauren

Great stay for a bunch of Folks!!

  • 5 of 5

This is a nice lake house, right next to the lake. There is plenty of room for the 14 people we had for the extended family holiday weekend. The five bedrooms provided enough bedspace for the adults and the kids found plenty of floor space for the air mattresses. The kitchen with the large island was great for feeding a crowd. There was enough space for everyone in the living/dining room. The porches were great even though it was a little chilly.

After a few days of rain some of the dirt roads were a little tricky, but manageable. Bring extra towels if you are bringing more than ten people.

You need to be prepared to get away from it all and enjoy each other and the lake - it is definitely out of town.

Perfect family vacation

  • 5 of 5

This was a perfect house for our family we had a wonderful time. There are so many great aspects of this home and property. My grandchildren will talk about this visit for a long time! everyone was very comfortable there and very appreciative of the quality and the comfort of the house and the fact that we were able to use it. We had family here from Indiana County Pennsylvania, Panama City Beach Florida, Southaven Mississippi and Augusta Georgia; ranging in age from 1 year old to 84 years old. Grandma made great use of the beautiful porch to watch 10 of her great grandchildren play and enjoy the water.

We brought our boat from Pennsylvania and it was so worth it, the Lake was awesome. The boys caught and grilled catfish too! Evidently they (catfish) like hotdogs!

Please thank the owners for us, for opening up their amazing home and allowing our family to make memories to last a lifetime. We will definitely return.

Thank You

Tammy Lechner and Family

Property was magnificent!

  • 5 of 5

We had our large family vacation here and the accommodations were fabulous! The house was super spacious and the fishing was awesome. We have to apologize to the neighbors because our excitement was a little noisy every time the kids reeled one in! The house had everything we needed and we were very comfortable. We enjoyed the dock and the front porch views. We took my 87 year old grandmother, who is in a wheelchair at the moment with a broken foot, and it was easy to get her down to the dock with the paved sidewalk. She didn't want to miss a thing and we certainly didn't want her to. A truly remarkable weekend!
