This free standing townhouse is located on Cylinder Headland between Cylinder and Deadman's Beaches. It is a short stroll to all beaches, public transport, the Straddie Hotel and local shops. Entry level has lock up garage, laundry and bathroom, mid level is an open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area opening onto large decks and the top level has three bedrooms and a bathroom and the master bedroom has a deck.

Good Location

House was good. No curtains upstairs, which meant it was cold on a cold day. Heater did not work, so we had to wrap in blankets. All else was good. Beds were comfortable and a good kitchen.

Quarterdeck

I have stayed in this property several times. It has been updated a little. I reported to the manager that the double bed moves across the room and could be quite dangerous. There are cockroaches. A lot of light bulbs have not been replaced. Second bedroom lamps not working. Curtains not adequate to cover window in second bedroom. I hope these things will be attended to as the property is quite expensive and should be better maintained.

Central location at Point Lookout

Pros: Great position within walking distance to Cylinder beach (patrolled) and Deadmans beach. Walk to General Store and pub. Quiet location. Very good hot water and pressure. Cons: Bedrooms and bathroom on 2nd floor, kitchen/living room on 1st floor Entry, laundry and 2nd bathroom on ground floor. Bathroom and kitchen clean but no attention to detail. We cleaned pots and pans and frypan on arrival as they were greasy and had food remains presumably from previous guests. The oven hadn’t been cleaned so we didn’t use it and the BBQ on the balcony is very old and we didn’t use that either. The curtains in the bedrooms need replacement as they are stained and don’t close properly. There is a large water stain on the lounge room ceiling from the bathroom above that’s in desperate need of repair but it looks like it’s been leaking for a long time. Garage cannot be accessed by anything other than a small car due to the turning circle needed to get it in.
