Lovely Private Renovated Sunny Cabin Home With Woods, Meadow and Wildlife

Bedrooms 2
Space 1,252 sq ft
Property type cabin
Minimum Stay 2 nights

About the property

2 Bedroom , 2 Bathroom With A View Of Bell Hill And Happy Valley, Close To Town

This lovely home on nearly 4 acres in the country, yet close to town, provides the perfect place to relax from all your daily duties in the real world. It was built in 1998 and was recently remodeled with an updated cabin vibe. The downstairs includes the master and guest bedrooms and one bathroom that is accessible outside the master bedroom. The master bath features a shower, sink and toilet in a separate space from an additional sink in its own space, so two can get ready at one time. There is a mudroom with a stacked washer/dryer unit on this level. The upstairs open floor plan with wall-to-wall windows offers a great perch from which to view the visiting Elk and Bald Eagles that frequent the area, while you dine, read, or enjoy wine on the deck. The great room has a wood stove for cool nights. The kitchen is well appointed with appliances for preparing food for dining in. This level offers a second bath with a jetted tub, and a view of the forest while you relax and soak. Additionally there is a small sitting room with views of the walking paths through the woods, which can double as an extra bedroom for two people. Walk the woods, stroll the garden or entertain on the upper deck or lower patio in this peaceful quiet place you will not want to leave.

When you do leave for food or entertaining activities, you are only a short mile and a half drive or bicycle ride from many restaurants, shops, the art gallery and farmer's market just to name a few. Additionally the area has wonderful bike paths, community theater, The Voice of America Dungeness Recreation Area and The Spit, Railroad Bridge Park, John Wayne Marina, The Olympic Game Farm, and the Seven Cedars Casino.

Relaxing and Peaceful

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here for our 20th anniversary and we enjoyed it so much. The bed was very comfortable and it was lovely to wake up to the sun coming in the windows each morning. The sound of the crickets at night was a welcome change from the noise of city life. The kitchen and pantry had everything we needed. The jetted tub was heavenly, especially with the views of trees outside. I loved reading in the cozy nook upstairs, looking out the big windows. The chair with the ottoman was so comfy I even took an afternoon nap there one of the days. We loved this place and will definitely be back the next time we visit the area. Thank you!

Wonderful place - peaceful & quiet, just minutes from town

  • 5 of 5

Owner was easy to work with and very helpful. House was comfortable, in great shape, and plenty of room for the 6 of us. Covered parking was a plus, and just 5 minutes down the hill to Sequim. Would definitely stay here again!

Perfectly peaceful

  • 5 of 5

A perfect base camp for visiting Washington's Olympic Peninsula! All our needs and wants were met by the gracious owners. Very clean and roomy home. Big beds and plenty of towels. We awoke and dined with the sun's morning rays, heard the elk bellow, "Get up and get going!", and were greeted every morning by the tiniest green frog out on the deck! After a busy day visiting the National Park, Port Townsend, the Dungeness Spit, it was wonderful to come home to this peaceful pleasant place, in a park-like setting. The deer or maybe young elk??? were out in the yard, in the evening, and the eagle flew close right past the window. It sat most of the evening high in the evergreen, where we could see it. The little sitting room off the deck was a perfect place to watch Mother Nature outside and reflect on the gift of a beautiful day. It was the favorite place for our little Maltese, Sasquatch, too! We would definitely choose to stay here again. Thank you, David, for making our first visit to the O.P. (hopefully not our last), pleasantly perfect!...Rose and Paul

Beautiful relaxing place to stay

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful place to retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday activities. It is up in the hills of Sequim surrounded by acres of land and so peaceful and quiet. We loved our stay and exploring Hurricane Ridge even though it was pouring rain at the Ridge. Our dogs absolutely loved the fenced yard, running and chasing each other for quite some time. They were glad to be free from being cooped up in the car. Thank you David for everything. We enjoyed it immensely.

Secluded but close to town

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay at this beautiful home outside Sequim! The location is very quiet and a perfect base to explore all the amazing activities the Olympic Peninsula has to offer. We explored tide pools, sandy bays and the coast of Rialto beach. Breakfast at The Oak Table in town was delicious and I highly recommend coffee at Adagio! David was incredibly helpful and friendly and we would love to stay here again! Also, there is a big fenced yard that our chocolate lab loved exploring.

Very comfy beds & cozy living space

  • 5 of 5

We felt very comfortable, it is easy to relax. Would be a great place to stay in the fall. We cooked nearly every meal and only needed a few kitchen items from the store. We loved the frogs :)
