What makes this apartment unique

The shell of the building was built in 1840's and we love the old hand honed beams that run throughout the living space and into the bedrooms. When sitting in the living room you can watch the snowfall while sitting next to the warm fireplace with a hot cup of cocoa or tea.

A Hidden Gem in Plain Sight!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four (2 parents & 2 teen girls) thoroughly enjoyed our 8 nights at Stafford Place in August! If you're looking for a perfect summer vacation to enjoy everything that Stowe and Vermont have to offer, then look no further than Stafford Place.

The condo decor is gorgeous and a delight to the eyes and senses. No detail was forgotten by the owners for making guests feel pampered and comfortable. Small details like thick terricloth bath robes in each bathroom, specialty soaps, thick padding underneath the designer carpets to make walking barefoot & in socks soft to the feet, luxurious & comfortable bedding, a super soft blanket throw made in Italy for the living room, a yoga mat & hand weights, a bike locker, a nice selection of herbal teas in the well-appointed kitchen... we could go on & on. It's like staying in a 5 star resort in terms of the caliber of accommodations.

We were expecting the Main Street traffic noise to be an issue but it was barely noticeable & didn't bother us one bit! Not once did we turn on the white noise machines for sleeping. Instead, we enjoyed being part of the village scene and all it has to offer. We were steps away from morning coffee & a pastries, Sunday brunch, a quick deli lunch, or fine dining for dinner. Our two favorite restaurants were Plate, which is in the same building as Stafford Place, and Whip at The Green Mountain Inn, which offers al fresco dining with beautiful views and a superb menu.

Our most favorite part by far of staying at Stafford Place was easy access to the Stowe Recreation Path. We brought our 4 bikes with us from Virginia and stored them in the condo's bike locker on the ground floor. The entrance to recreation path is in the rear of the condo's parking lot. What a beautiful 5-1/2 mile ride! The scenery is absolutely gorgeous with mountain views, water, parks, bridges to traverse, restaurants to stop by for lunch or drinks, and ending at a classic Vermont covered bridge. It's an easy ride and relatively flat most of the way for both adults and children to enjoy. It's ideal for walkers, too, and wheelchair accessible. We were lucky to have gorgeous weather the vast majority of our days during our stay and enjoyed this ride three times. We miss it dearly now that we're home!

Charles the property manager is a gem and handled every detail promptly and with cheer!

We definitely plan to stay again at Stafford Place!

Owner's Response: Michele, Just when I thought I had seen and heard all of the great thing that there are to say about the condo and it's beautiful surroundings, along comes your review! You have summed up so many of the fine details and the little surprises that make this condo a home away from home. Its because of these touches that many of our guests are returning each year. We look forward to having you and your family back again too! Charles

What a lovely, well appointed abode! Thank you for sharing it with us! From the moment we walked in the door we felt like we were home. The condo was spotless and well taken care of.

We were visiting Stowe for our first time to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary with friends. We dined at Michael's On the Hill in Waterbury. It was outstanding! Sunday we visited the Prohibition Pig Brewery, also in Waterbury, then stopped and visited many shops on our way back to Stowe. We highly recommend your beautiful condo and all that Stowe has to offer!

Looking forward to coming back for round two!

The best winter getaway we've had on the East Coast

  • 5 of 5

This condo is in the perfect location right in the middle of Stowe on Main Street. This location is within walking distance to great restaurants & adorable New England shops. Condo is VERY comfortable, stocked with everything you need - paper towels, TP, cooking spray, sweetener, plastic wrap, etc. All the things you think you would need to buy at the grocery store & end up packing in your suitcase at the end of your stay. You don't need to buy any of it.

Master Bedroom is so luxurious. It was only 2 of us so we used each bathroom, but a family would also be very comfortable here.

We were originally supposed to stay 4 nights, but due to winter storms in the area, our flight was cancelled. The owners & manager were completely flexible in letting us stay for another night, just adding the additional night to our bill.

Internet worked great - no outages, even with the storm. Of course the skiing was phenomenal with all the snow.

We definitely want to return.

Owner's Response: Thank you Dylan and Brenda, for taking the time to point out some of the smaller details that make the condo so special in addition to how comfortable and luxurious the accommodations are. Often times it's those little necessities that help make a guest's stay that much more relaxing and complete. Glad you made it home safely and we look forward to having you back the next time. Please bring the snow again too! Charles

Perfect location! Beautiful apartment. Great weekend.

  • 5 of 5

My girlfriends and I had a fantastic weekend in the beautiful historic village of Stowe staying in this lovely apartment. In the mornings we caught the (free) shuttle up the mountain (stops right outside your door) to ski and in the evenings we jumped off the bus a few times on our way back down the hill for some well-earned adult beverages. Once we were home we were able to relax and enjoy the well appointed kitchen and relaxing living room before we walked out to one of the many bars and restaurants in town. We can't wait to go back!

A big thank you to our wonderful host/contact Charles. He was easy to talk to and responded quickly to any questions. Cheers!

Beautiful condo in the heart of town!

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful condo in Stowe. There is truly no better description than "mountain chic" for the space. It was extremely well appointed, with great amenities. The beds were so comfortable I never wanted to get up, a great fireplace, plush towels and robes, and amply space for four people. Two in our party in did not want to brave the freezing temperature on the slopes, and there was plenty to do within walking distance to fill up their days, including an amazing breakfast at Butler's Pantry across the street, the many shops along Main St, and Tap 25 for some great beer flights. Overall, would absolutely recommend staying here and can't wait to come back!
