Perfect house for our trip

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful setting with incredible views! The kitchen is well-stocked and it's very spacious. Beautifully decorated and quiet. The road up could be a little challenging, but two in our party had a Prius and Kia Soul and both made it up and down. We had 7 guys there for a fly fishing trip and everyone loved it. See you again next year!

Gorgeous, huge, modern house in the mountains

  • 5 of 5

This house is absolutely wonderful! As another reviewer said, the photos don’t do it justice. Every room is huge and well appointed. And the views are gorgeous.

We had five adults in our group, and the house could have certainly held far more. We all had plenty of space to spread out and not be in each other’s way.

The house sits high on a mountain (by itself) and overlooks Livingston, the surrounding mountain ranges, and the Yellowstone River. The driveway up to the house has a long, steep span, and our poor rental mini-van just wasn’t able to make the drive. Doug, one of the owners, was very friendly and more than helpful to assist us in resolving this issue. (So…make sure you rent a 4-wheel drive to avoid this issue.) Other than this minor hiccup, our stay here was perfect.

The house is located about 50 miles from Yellowstone’s North entrance and about 35 miles from Bozeman. Livingston (where the house is located) has grocery stores, restaurants, and everything you need for your stay.

If you want a remote, private getaway with access to Yellowstone, Bozeman, etc…while also “roughing it” in a beautiful, spacious, modern cabin / house, I highly recommend this one.

Perfect Mountain Vacation!

  • 5 of 5

Just returned from an incredible winter get-a-way in Livingston, MT. Found this mountain retreat by shear luck! The description by the owner was understated! I have never seen such glorious views. On the east end of Wineglass Mountain the views of the Yellowstone River are to die for. Relaxing in the hot tub after a glorious day enjoying the lovely town of Livingston with it's quaint shops and friendly locals was the perfect end to a perfect day. The cabin itself was magnificent, spacious, clean with a comfortable rustic décor. It was close enough to town that it is convenient but so secluded in the mountains that our only visitors were the mule deer grazing in the meadow below. Though rumors shared there was a moose and her calf nearby we weren't so lucky to see them. The owner suggested a fantastic outfitter out of Gardiner to take us on a full day of snowmobiling in Yellowstone and suggested a soak at Chico only a few miles from our vacation rental. If you are looking for an amazing rental, this is the place for you. I can't imagine what this location would be like in the summer. Maybe next year??

Perfect winter getaway!

  • 5 of 5

This is a beautiful property high on the mountain with a wonderful overlook of the Crazy Mountains, Livingston and the Yellowstone River.

We spent a week here in Jan 16 based on the recommendation of a friend. The house is spectacularly done and is in beautiful like new condition. Although there was just two of us, this home has a tremendous amount of space and would be perfect for family get together. The VRBO listing states it will sleep 10-16 and there still would be plenty of private space for all. The owners just started renting this home so we were fortunate to be one of the first to visit!

There are no neighbors to worry about (except the occasional mule deer and bear!) and a lovely cozy whirlpool on the deck overlooks the Yellowstone River. The master bedroom has a luxurious king size bed with a fireplace, corner Jacuzzi tube and large master bath with a full Jacuzzi shower unit. The master bedroom opens in the kitchen/dining and living room area with high ceilings and great view of the valley.

The best part is you are only 15 minutes drive to Livingston – so shopping, dinner, and evening fun are just a few minutes away! We took a day trip to Chico Hot Springs and the next day a great trip into Yellowstone on snowmobiles. We are not skiers but Bridger Bowl is only 20 miles away.

The owners have been living in the area for 20+ years and were happy to point out places of interest and had great recommendations for dining. We highly recommend dining at the Montana’s Rib and Chop House for dinner- great food and #1 Trip Advisor rating.

So if you want a lovely secluded get away yet still near the area’s major attractions we highly recommend this romantic get away!
