About David Konik and Kathrin Olbrich

We met in Zurich, Switzerland, in 2011. Kathrin, a native Austrian, was a travel guide for People to People awaiting students from the Baltimore/DC area to join her on a 3 weeks tour through Europe. David, a native Floridian, joined them as an aid for his autistic client traveling with the student group. Four years later we got married on the Big Island in Hawaii and moved to our new home here in downtown Annapolis. We love to travel, to meet new people and to share our deep love for Annapolis!

David Konik and Kathrin Olbrich purchased this house in 2015

Why David Konik and Kathrin Olbrich chose Annapolis

The property's historic charm and the proximity to downtown made the decision to move here a no-brainer. The house previously belonged to David's brother and sister in-law, and was the very first home to their 4 boys. If you look closely you will find the boys' height marks on the door frame to one of our guest rooms.

Clean, comfortable home in perfect location with dedicated parking

  • 5 of 5

This house delivered as advertised. House was spotless with every needed amenity for our Navy Football weekend. Learning how to make a pour over was an added benefit! Given the congestion in town with the boat show, the dedicated parking space and friendly neighbors were more than helpful. We would stay here again!

Very good

  • 4 of 5

We had a wonderful time. Loved the old house except the very creaky stairs. The place was comfortably furnished and had good amenities. Our only complaint was the pillows on the beds were very stiff. Hope to stay there again.

Perfect for Commissioning Week

  • 5 of 5

We had a rotating group of about 7 adults staying in the house for Commissioning Week. The location is perfect for events, walking to/from the Yard, and being close to many restaurants and shopping spots throughout the week. Parking throughout Annapolis is tough, so the parking spot is VERY handy! Getting to graduation was not bad. House is well stocked and very comfortable, and thank goodness for the A/C! Owners are VERY responsive and made the visit easy for us to navigate.

Cozy and welcoming

  • 5 of 5

My gal pals and I had a wonderful weekend at this charming house in Annapolis. Great location - a short walk to everything, but on a quiet side street with lots of privacy.

The kitchen was fully equipped, plenty of pots and pans and spices for cooking. Beds were comfy, bathrooms were nicely updated. We had plenty of room to hang out together, and find space by ourselves, too.

Since it was a surprisingly cold weekend in May, we'd have loved to use the fireplace. But there were no instructions provided, so we didn't try - we certainly didn't want to break anything in this beautiful house!

Thanks very much to the owners for a lovely stay - we hope to return next year!
