Note on Pool: Please Note That There Is a Large Private Pool at This Home and It Is Not Heated at This Time. March, April and Onward into the Summer Usually Provide Enough Heat from the Sun to Make the Pool Enjoyable. That said, there has not been one kid who has visited the home, no matter the time of the year, who has not used the pool. Adults may find it too chilly in the first quarter of the year, and hence we provide large floating lounge chairs in the pool if you still want to soak in the rays and just get your toes wet. Lounge chairs are also located adjacent to the pool for sunning.

The Pool Is Large and Beautiful. There Is a Brown Mesh Safety Fence Around the Pool for Safety That We Are Required to Have for Child Safety. The Fence Is Aesthetically Pleasing.

Thank you for viewing this exquisite property. As stated, the home underwent an extensive 10 month remodel. We used all natural stone and wood throughout the home giving it a warm and inviting feel but also modern amenities and feel.

I am a world traveler so many of the pieces and components are from southeast Asia. I believe in personally making your visit a memorable one and personally oversee the management of the property by being present. It is my goal to welcome you to Arizona and make this experience and this home one that you will return to again and again.

Why Terry chose Phoenix

AWESOME AWESOME LOCATION!!! It is the best location in Phoenix and also Scottsdale. You are ten minutes to downtown Scottsdale and ten minutes to downtown Phoenix. Everything is at your fingertips including golf, the Phoenix Zoo, Phoenix Art Museum, Water Parks, fantastic hiking and biking trails abound and the best shopping with an elaborate choice of casual and fine restaurants.

There is a resort-like feel while in the privacy of a home. Indoor-outdoor living is incorporated throughout the home with four sets of French doors. Two large patios with an outdoor cozy fireplace incorporates indoor/outdoor living. And a sparkling pool tops off your relaxation experience. There is a view of the mountains from both the front and back of the home. Very private, very tranquil, loads of birds visiting

What makes this house unique

I think when you visit the home, you will immediately know why we bought the home. We keep repeating the benefits of the location as being ideal, but there is a feeling of comfort, ease and tranquility when you enter the home and the surrounding grounds.

There are two huge patios off the front and back of the home. One patio is 700 square feet and the other is 1200 square feet. The indoor and outdoor living experience are blended and most of the daytime "living" in the home takes place out of doors. For instance, there is a huge 10 foot teak table on the back patio. That is where all the meals take place. It is a perfect gathering place with some people eating at the table, some people lounging and reading on the teak day beds, and others floating in the pool. There are three large ceiling fans on the back patio and chandeliers and other lighting. So, the patio can be utilized day and night - cool days and on very warm days too.

This home has the look and feel of a luxury resort without the price tag. We offer robes in each room along with slippers for our guests. The linens and towels in the home are very high quality. The furniture and art in the home is new and fresh. All the art in the home is also original. This is not an "average" vrbo home but an exceptional one. We are a newer listing but were booked solid last year - so book early

Spectacular, sweet & serene.

This truly was an oasis of peace and comfort for our family of 3. Terri has thought of everything needed to make a vacation easy and sweet. We enjoyed all the thoughtful touches that this guesthouse supplied including several comfortable seating areas with solid, well made furnishings, the best equipped kitchen of any rental property anywhere in the world that we've stayed at, to superb bathroom toiletries like makeup removal wipes, loofah, Aveda shampoo, etc.

Everything was sparkling clean, fresh and accommodating. The kitchen drawers could be featured in a home design magazine, with rubber bands, clips, baggies, etc. all neatly organized. Everything you could possible need is already there at your fingertips. Terri even had a bag of coffee waiting for us.

The neighborhood was very quiet, and we enjoyed sitting outside in the comfortable chaise lounges to soak up the January sunshine. Unfortunately it was too cool to swim in the pool in January, but we'd love to come back in spring when it's warmer out to swim. The landscaping was lovely and the yard was very private.

One note- there are small "steps / ledges" in the front hall and into the master suite and closet. While some are marked with lighter tiles, we missed the step on several occasions so do be alert to these.

We were in Phoenix for a work trip, so did not get to take advantage of the huge entertainment library of music, books, & TV channels available. The washer / dryer were top notch. WiFi was great.

In a great area with Whole Foods / Trader Joes/ Frys all less than a 10 min drive.

Great restaurants: Picazzo's pizza + fresh / vegetarian dishes (voted best GF!), Rusconi's (make reservations!), Sala Thai, Eggstacy, Habaneros, Salt and Lime.....and Zoyo frozen yogurt.

Terri responded to texts in nano seconds, and was very accommodating to our schedule. Thanks again Terri!

Had a great stay and fantastic weather!

Great central location, middle of a subdivision, but feels very private! Outdoor living space is what makes this property special! Being from Midwest we were outside most of the time...just inside to cook and sleep! Terry is a great hostess! My husband's only complaint was that there was no ESPN on the DIRECTV package-during March Madness.

Fabulous home for family vacations.

What a dream!! Artsy and comfy house for your getaway. Terri has this house loaded with everything, and I mean everything that you could need for your time there, could have even decorated a cake with the cake decorating tools if I had wanted! This is a spacious house with many areas to enjoy as a family, or a quaint area for 1 just to get away by themselves and do a little reading. The back covered area is huge that houses a large reclaimed wood table where we had breakfast each morning and then also has a grill for evening cookouts but also has a separate seating area for relaxing. Her pool is a dream... fabulous and fun!! Location is awesome for restaurants, shopping, hiking, and golf!! Thank you Terri for a fabulous week!! We will be back!!

Nice start to retirement

I retired in November and wanted to do something special with my husband and daughter and her husband. We booked Terri's place for Christmas and what a special time it was for us. We spent Christmas morning sipping eggnog outside by the fireplace and playing board games. This we did on the outside huge front covered patio. Since we are from Winnipeg, this was definitely different for us. IIn the afternoon we went hiking with the mountains just down the street and by late afternoon lounged by the pool. In the evening we sat on the even larger covered back patio, prepared our dinner and grilled steaks and watched the sunset with champagne. Does it get better? Terri was a great host and cant say enough. Location was unbeatable with stores, restaurant everything around the corner. We appreciate making some new memories in Arizona and at Shangri La. It is a Shangri La as it is described. Beautiful house but beautiful and quiet yard too. Birds got used to us feeding them. Park just a block away has a great fitness trail after you have eaten too much over the holiday. Happy to have found the place.

The silver lining of our stay in AZ Quiet and restful

We came for a wedding. We were supposed to stay at another home but an AC unit went out there the first night..and it is HOT in Arizona in September. Luckily, the owner of that other place knew Terry and her place was available and in same area. LUCKY FOR US is right. Honestly, Terry's place was much nicer and the same price. Gorgeous gorgeous home and all new remodel like it says. We spent all our time in and around the pool mostly except for the wedding we attended. THere is a HUGE covered patio off the back of the house with three large fans, lounging day beds, huge teak table for loads of people to eat or hang out, comfy chairs. The fans keep it really cool, AND there is this amazing gazebo off the pool where my husband would lay in the morning and have his morning coffee watching the birds. Dare I say he was meditating?? It is super quiet and a view of the mountains to the south. That mountain is also where you can do hiking which is a few blocks away. You have to get up SUPER early to go hiking though in September as it gets hot by 10 am. Anyway our accommodations had a silver lining and glad the AC went out on other place we were supposed to stay. Terry was great too and gave us lots of insider tips on stuff to do with the kids. Nice amenities, nice towels, sheets, WELL stocked kitchen with stuff I did not even know how to use.

Super month in Shangri-La

This is a wonderful home and Terry is a considerate and helpful owner. The home has all the necessary amenities that you could want. We enjoyed the area for hiking, shopping, and restaurants. But you don't need to go out to eat. The backyard is too nice to leave. The front yard has a nice sitting area for quiet time. Our adult children joined us for a week and there was lots of room for everyone. Thank you Terry, it was nice to get to know you.

This location is one of the best in Phoenix and Scottsdale - the tatum and shea corridor - which is on the border of Scottsdale and Phoenix. This is a much sought after prime location given its proximity (nearly walking distance) to restaurants, shopping, entertainment venues, golf, and much more.

YET, the home sits in a quiet, residential cul -de-sac on nearly 1/2 acre which is very unusual for the heart of the city. It is a tranquil setting with lots of privacy. Humming birds and a lot of other birds are your companions. A view of the mountains from the front and back yards. Miles of hiking trails are within walking distance

As stated, several restaurants are within walking distance of the home as you are at minutes away from the intersections of Tatum and Shea - A VALLEY HOTSPOT. The home is in an ideal location being just minutes from award winning golf courses, fantastic retail shopping and upscale restaurants. The Paradise Valley Mall is within walking distance. Kierland and Scottsdale Quarter features shopping and dining are ten minutes away as are the Biltmore Fashion Square and Scottsdale Fashion Park.

If you are coming for medical reasons, this home provides a healing haven: Mayo Clinic North location is five minutes and the Fountain Hills Mayo Clinic is ten minutes. Barrows Neurological Institute and Phoenix Children's Hospital are ten minutes too.

The home is within walking distance of the hundreds of miles of hiking and biking trails right in the heart of the city in the Piestewa Peak Preserve. Here is more information on the hiking Hundreds of hiking trails are also minutes away. Camelback Mountain, a famous hiking destination is five minutes.

And, you are ten minutes to the airport and ten minutes to downtown Scottsdale and Phoenix. Truly an amazing location in a safe area boasting the best schools in the state.

Cleaning Fee AU$134.48

During high season (January - April) we book Saturday to Saturday with 4 night minimum stay. PLEASE NOTE THAT The BASE price rate is $1850 per week in FALL and HIGH SEASON and DOES NOT INCLUDE cleaning, taxes and insurance. We take out separate insurance on each guest group and that is added to the price of your accommodation. Therefore no damage deposit is required.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund if cancelled at least 30 days before arrival date.
  • 100% refund if cancelled at least 60 days before arrival date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
