As advertised but better in some ways
Wonderful house, convenient location, well stocked home. Importantly, very clean and comfortable. What made it better was the communication with the owners when we had any issue or question. Rosalie made herself so available it felt like concierge service. Thank you for that. My only complaint was the dryer that melted a few of our jacket zippers when we placed it in to dry. We just stopped using it unless we absolutely needed something washed and dried. Overall, id recommend this to anyone. Thank you for allowing us to stay here!

Amazing house for a group
We had 4 couples stay here over the New Year (2023). This house is perfect 4 bedroom and a beautiful kitchen living area for eating and hanging out. The hot tub and sauna were an added bonus to use after a great day skiing on the hill. The house is so conveniently located and we used the Mountaineer shuttle to get around during the storm. Some even walked to resort chair which was not far away. I highly recommend staying here and Rosalie is an impeccable host!!

Great Weekend Stay
We had a great experience renting this home. The location was very nice, on a quiet street where you can take walks along the trail, very close to groceries and food, and short drive to Tahoe City and Kings Beach. Accessing the house was really easy using the garage keypad. The house was really nice, clean and well furnished, nice bedding, lots of small touches that made the stay more comfortable. The kids loved the pinball machines and fooseball table upstairs in the open loft, and the adults loved the hot tub and outdoor sauna. Keep in mind, there is no AC and some windows we couldn’t leave open since they didn’t have screens and we didn’t want mosquitos to come in so it did get a bit hot. The only glitches were the cooking vent in the center island and the clothes dryer wasn’t working. We had a great weekend and would definitely love to stay here again.

Incredible property and experience
Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in Olympic Valley. The property is even more gorgeous in person. Rosalie was so helpful and communicative before, during and after our stay. It was everything we dreamed of!

We are an active family with 4 older kids and love being outdoors enjoying all the activities Tahoe has to offer in every season. You will find us skiing down the mountains or water skiing across the lake. Dan loves to mountain bike with the kids while Rosalie prefers to hike or bike on the famous Tahoe-Sunnyside-Squaw bike path that is over 20 miles long. Our photo was taken on a rare 4th of July when we skied on snow and water on the same day!

Why they chose this property

We built this house in 2008 for our large boisterous family. Its open floor plan was designed for easy entertaining of large groups but yet also offers many private spaces to rest and relax. The house is outfitted with high quality furniture, luxurious bedding and a gourmet kitchen for comfortable living in a contemporary mountain decor.

The location offers something very unique for Squaw Valley: a serene/natural setting with very easy flat access year round, and just a mile from Squaw Village ski resort.

The location is also ideal for active groups who want to do different activities and not depend on cars. The early skiers can take the shuttle to the ski slopes while the little ones go snowshoeing to the Squaw meadow from the house. Tired adults can drive home after a full day while teenagers can be the last ones off the mountain and shuttle home. The golfers can catch the first Tee Time while the rest of the group goes for a bike ride or walk to the village to enjoy the many shops and restaurants in Squaw Village.
