About OSFT Casita Management
Our family has roots in Santa Fe going back to the 1800's, much of it spent on this incredible family property. We are avid travelers; we especially love Italy, the Pacific Northwest, Latin America, NYC and Africa, and have ranged as far from home as Antarctica… but we always love to come home to New Mexico. We are closely involved in the Santa Fe Arts community, and always happy to share our knowledge and lifelong experience with the area to help you enjoy your stay.
OSFT Casita Management purchased this House in 1950
Why OSFT Casita Management chose Santa Fe
Our property is perfectly located to enjoy all that Santa Fe has to offer, yet very private and peaceful. Our family has lived in the main house (built in 1929) for generations and meticulously cared for the property, including the casita. It is a great place to get a sense of Santa Fe's history & geography. We have easy scenic access to the mountains, so it's an excellent base for exploring the town or the wilderness.
What makes this House unique
Every time you drive through the gate, it feels like you are way out in the New Mexican landscape. As you leave the property you realize you are just up from the plaza, around the corner from the museums and canyon road or poised to head up into the mountains! We think you will LOVE IT!

My wife, our 1 year old Golden and I celebrated my 50th birthday here. We have stayed at many VRBO properties all over the country. This was, by far, the cleanest, most dog-friendly, well-appointed casita that we fell in love with. The privacy you feel upon entering through the main gate to the property is profound. We used the kiva fireplace every night and appreciated all the recommendations from the owner and property manager who stayed in contact with us throughout our stay. The separate courtyard has a decent patch of lawn (some of the only green grass we saw anywhere). The artwork and interior pieces were all so well chosen that we felt as though it were curated for our tastes. As a chef, I appreciated the fully stocked kitchen with high-end stainless appliances, the deep kitchen sink, and the coffe game was on point: espresso, French press, drip coffee, a Kuereg or you can hit one of many great little coffee shops just down the road. We loved how perfectly situated the home is between the downtown square for shopping and restaurants and the museums just up the road to absorb the culture and history of the place. The Ortiz dog park was a daily ritual for us. It is massive and full on nice people with playful pups. We could not have asked for anything more from our trip. This is the perfect home away from home and we will come back.
Beautiful casita in a lovely neighborhood. Would stay there again!
Thank you Ann! We hope you visit again. It was a pleasure hosting you.
Wonderful Sante Fe Getaway
After dozens of trips to Sante Fe, we have found the ideal location for us! This lovely casita has it all, beautiful, quiet location yet so near to everything has to offer.
We are very pleased to hear that you enjoyed your trip. We would love to host you again in the near future!
Casita was quaint and quiet, location perfect and management very attentive. Even left treats for my dog upon arrival! Thank you for sharing your house with us
It's All About the Details
Love this place! The host and property manager thought of everything down to a vase of fresh flowers from the property to doggie treats for our little teacup chihuahua. Property manager was responsive immediately when we needed help with the tv (user error) and the ice maker. Beautiful grounds, very quiet, lovely casita, and the most comfortable bed ever! Only regret was that we couldn't extend our stay.
Perfect location, close to town but away from it all! The morning fragrances from flora and fauna were heavenly! Natural aromatherapy is always the best! Surrounded by art, beauty, peace and enchantment! Anaiz is a most efficient and professional property manager. Noel, the owner, is VERY accomodating
The property is in the old historic eastside of Santa Fe. This highly desired location is picturesque, quiet and very convenient to downtown. Just a few steps out the door you will be in the heart of New Mexico culture. A 30min beautiful walk directly down Old Santa Fe Trail will take you to Downtown Santa Fe and the historic Plaza with its world-renowned restaurants, shopping, galleries, museums, music and rich culture. Note, coming back from town is a bit of an uphill hike. Also toward town, the legendary Canyon Road arts district is only 1.2 miles away offering another picturesque 20min walk through the oldest part of town. In the other direction a .4-mile/9min scenic walk takes you to Museum Hill, home to the Museum of International Folk Art, the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture, the Museum of Spanish Art and Culture, the Wheelwright Museum of the American Indian, the delicious Museum Hill Café and the Santa Fe Botanical Gardens. For adventurers, numerous hiking and mountain biking trails are just up the road and skiing at the Santa Fe Ski Basin is a 35-minute drive.
Additionally Kaune's Neighborhood Market, a charming gourmet grocery store, is a quick 3min drive or 22min walk from the casita.
You will love our well-appointed casita any time of the year. Santa Fe has many summer events to highlight the rich cultural mixing that is Santa Fe, including the International Folk Art Market (a short 9min walk away), the world-class Santa Fe Opera, Spanish Market, Indian Market, weekly Farmer’s Market and many more. The fall is quite spectacular with the smell of roasting chili perfuming the streets. It’s the perfect time to hike while the aspens and foliage are changing color throughout the city. In the winter months you’ll find Santa Fe lit by farolitos at night. By day you can enjoy breathtaking skiing, winter wonderland snowshoeing, and take part in numerous, festive holiday events. Finally, spring brings new growth and fantastic weather for hiking, biking or horseback riding in the great outdoors. Whether it’s taking an art or cooking class, browsing the galleries, checking out local bands and nightlife, relaxing at a spa, or just enjoying your getaway and lounging in the casita, there is always something fun to do in Santa Fe. Additionally, the owners are a great resource for suggestions on activities, dining, and shopping and have provided an extremely informative book in the casita.
How to get around:
Off-street and secure parking makes it easy to have a car at our casita. We are only a 7 min drive from the center of downtown Santa Fe. If you prefer to leave your car at home and enjoy walking, it is also a great area to walk just about anywhere. It is an easy 30min walk to downtown and Canyon Road with shops and restaurants (notably a bit harder and uphill on the way home) and a 9min walk to Museum Hill. Santa Fe Capital Cab (Download the app from itunes) will pick up and drop off just about anywhere like a local Uber. Uber is also active and available anywhere in Santa Fe. There is also public transportation including a free "blue bus" that picks up a short walk from the casita down Old Santa Fe Trail. The “blue bus” provides access to Santa Fe and surrounding areas as well as free rides to Taos, Tesuque etc. If you are in town for the Santa Fe Opera or any Art Market the shuttles meet you just down the road at the Capital building parking lot.
