About the property

3 Bedrooms, 1 Bathroom, Sleeps 7

Come get away from the hustle and bustle of Honolulu and stay on the North Shore where the real beauty is! This little 3 bedroom 1 bath downstairs unit has it's own access, it's own kitchen, access to laundry machines in the unit, and is in walking distance to your very own secluded beach just across the street. The unit gives you beautiful mountain views from the bedrooms. The house is located just off Kam hwy giving you easy access to the bus system if you choose to forego renting a car. This ideal location is just 6 minutes from the Polynesian Cultural Center and Laie Temple and only a 20-25 minute drive to famous beaches on the North Shore like Sunset, Pipeline, Waiamea Bay and Haleiwa.

The unit sleeps 7 comfortably with five beds.

We have a California King, Queen, and three twins.

We have a pack and play available for an infant and a blow up mattress available upon request for additional guests. We also have beach chairs, beach umbrellas, snorkel gear and boogie boards you can use!

Not only are the beaches more beautiful on this side, but the food is great too! There are so many great places and or food trucks to eat at that are authentic and delicious! Try Ono Yo for their amazingly fresh frozen yogurt, grind on some yummy local food from Papa Ole's, or take a tour at Kahuku Farms and eat their fresh farm pizza and cool down with their refreshing smoothies all made from ingredients made right there on their farm. Other awesome places to try are, Giovanni Shrimp truck, Thai Food Express, Nelly's Taco's, Bob's BBQ corn, 7 Brothers, North Shore Tacos, Kahuku Grill, Opal Thai and many others!

If you want to experience the REAL Hawaii, this side is the place to do it!

About Elika Daley

My name is Elika and I am a mother of 6 very young kids. I am originally from Seattle and my husband is from Sebastopol California. We've lived here for over 17 years now and love it! My husband and I own a local construction company and we build, renovate, and flip homes. It's our love and passion!

Why Elika Daley chose Hauula

We love Hauula. It's the hidden gem of the north shore! We just live around the corner and love living in Hauula. We love the people, the secluded beaches and the many different food trucks at every corner!

Guestbook comments from the owner

This property was great and exactly what we needed! Living in urban Oahu and traveling to the countryside from Kualoa - North Shore can be quite exhausting. This place is a great property to enjoy the countryside of Oahu! We loved the location and layout of the apartment style home. Great to have family get togethers and only a block away from the beach. I will definitely return for a longer stay.

Super cute, nice stay

  • 5 of 5

The pictures don't do this home justice. Not super fancy, but just right for a small-medium family. My husband and I stayed with our 4 kids and they really enjoyed the home. First thing they did on arrival that evening was play the card game that was there. Nice washer and dryer, only 1 bath but super nice. This is a lower level, so you can hear the upstairs neighbors, but they didn't bother us as we were really only there to sleep anyways.

Great place! Perfect for quiet days

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time! The place was great for our family of 4; we had more than enough room to sleep and hang out. It was clean and very nicely decorated in a fun modern style, and kid-safe. Our kid loved the kids' room and the little alcove, and our baby had fun playing with the toys. Amenities were all in excellent condition. The area has a lot of quiet beaches; we had a wonderful time away from the crowds.

Lovely House

  • 5 of 5

Lovely house, had everything you needed. Everything was in good condition, kitchen, bathroom, etc were well equipped. It was also great to have beach toys, board games, and a few toys through the house for our two young boys. Everything was very clean. The neighborhood does have a few rooster that can make some noise at night. It wasn't too loud, but when we had too jet-lagged boys they sometimes were easily disturbed and awoke earlier than normal. The good news is that there is also a well lit playground just 5 min walk away, so when the boys were up very early we were able to get them out and get active. When we arrived the TV didn't work - it looks like it had just had some sort of fault that meant it had no picture. I texted the owner, and I think we had a new TV round by the end of the day! It was very quick. Really enjoyed our time here.

perfect for our needs

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay, the home was exactly as described on the site. Beds were comfortable. We appreciated the beach towels that were provided! Also that there were boogie boards, mask and snorkel, and sand chairs for beach trips. The home gets warm, but there are plenty of fans to help with cooling we enjoyed our stay very much!
