Good experience...very clean and updated

We were very comfortable. I would love to stay there again, but the stairs were not conducive to a Senior with bad knees. I didn’t have a problem with the stairs just didn’t feel comfortable. Otherwise the cabin was perfect!

Wonderful, CLEAN get-away cabin close to it all with the feeling of seclusion!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was immaculate and warm when we arrived in the snow on Friday night. The fireplaces were perfect and easy to use and helped to warm us up on the cold mountain nights. The hot tub was ready to go when we arrived! We were pleasantly surprised by the well stocked kitchen making it easy to cook breakfast in each morning. The bed was comfy and warm, making it easy to fall asleep.

The couch in the living room was slippery and uncomfortable and the recliner seemed to be "sprung" from much use over time making it uncomfortable to recline in but comfy to sit in. The only changes I would suggest are: an outdoor towel hook so you can take a towel outside and a screen to block the view from the hot tub to the neighbor driveway which seemed to have quite a bit of day time traffic. (We used the hot tub cover for this) The biggest surprise was the amazing view of Cove Mountain from the huge windows in the living room... the majestic mountains were breath-taking when they were snow covered! The back of the cabin, on either porch, gave such beautiful views of the area!

We loved the location of this cabin because we were not too far from the action of Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg, but were satisfied by the peace and quiet of Wears Valley and Townsend. We've lived and played in this area for years and had no idea that there was a road in Wear's Valley that led straight into the National Park. We would love to come back again.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your very kind and detailed review, we appreciate every details you mentioned, and we are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay and the cabin met your expectations. We continually upgrade and replace furnitures and items when it come to its life end... the couch is on our list to replace it in our next visit, we replaced the recliner with a new one about less than 2 years ago, and we replaced the bed mattress last summer, less than 6 months ago, and we always listen to our guests suggestions to improve their stay to their likes. Your suggestion to have a something to block the view from the street is a good idea and we will look for options to do that, usually in the summer the nature block the view as the cabin is hidden with the trees leaves but in winter, the cabin's decks are visible from the street, and we will definitely find a solution for that. We are delighted to know that you discovered new entrance to the National Park which is just few minutes drive from the cabin... we would love to welcome you again and thank you again for all your great suggestions.

Great communication with owner. Cabin was very clean and had everything needed for a short weekend or week long stay. Kids loved the hot tub and pool table and the board games. Very cozy. Will definitely stay here again next time we stay in pigeon forge. Thank you.

Nestled in a valley within the breathtaking Smoky Mountains, Pigeon Forge is a world class destination for nature enthusiasts.

The biggest draw is, of course, the vast and beautiful Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The park is comprised of 500,000 acres and over 800 miles of hiking trails. Hikers can enjoy the miraculous wonders of nature year round on trails designed to accommodate all levels of hiking ability.

Many visitors to the park are hoping to see a bear and with 1500 bears in the park you very well may. But don’t forget to look out for other creatures; the Smokies have the most biological diversity of any temperate zone on Earth. Included in this amazing diversity are over 1600 types of flowering plants. Ranger Guided programs are available year-round so that visitors can learn about this great American treasure.

Within the park, some of the best opportunities for wildlife viewing can be found in the popular Cades Cove. White-tailed deer are frequently seen in large numbers and it is also quite common to see; black bear, coyotes, ground hogs, turkey, raccoon and skunk. Numerous trails originate in the Cove and wildlife can also be viewed from your vehicle on an 11 mile one-way loop. Cades Cove boasts a campground and a horse camp as well.

For the enthusiastic nature lovers, who want to spend their whole vacation outdoors, Pigeon Forge has over 1900 campsites. Ranging from primitive sites within the park to full RV hookups at campgrounds with amenities such as pools and playgrounds, there is definitely a site for you.

Wilderness Wildlife Week is one of the highlights of the year, bringing thousands of nature lovers from all over the world into Pigeon Forge. Included in the week’s activities are guided hikes, storytelling, photography, fishing and music.
