Condo, 1 Bedroom, 1.0 Bath, (Sleeps 4)
All as.advertized, great.apartment! Liann is an excellent manager. Easy check in communication and plea ty of everything. Thank you for the goodies in fridge. Only thing to note is no parking spot given. Just read the parking on Salem we site and we had no problem.working the street and meter parking. Or.tjere are garages. Thanks so much!
Exactly as advertised no issues however, we parked in a garage and drove car up to load bags, were only going to be there less than 5 minutes and some guy who lives there started writing down our plate numbers and other info. Rather disconcerting. The condo is terrific though
Lovely condo in great location. Everything you could need is in the kitchen, bright and clean and cheerful. Way better than a hotel for less $$
Parking was a real issue.
Parking was a real issue. It started in the package that a parking pass was provided. None was provided. We texted lianne and she started that we should pay for public parking and she would reimburse us. We paid $65 in parking fees but have not been reimbursed yet. There was also no iron or iron board. We were harrassed by the other owners and when we were leaving and placed our recyables out, the lady in the other apartment went out and went through our recyables to ensure that we had done it right. This was not a pleasant experience. The accommodations were great....the experience was not. I realize that lianne has no control over the other owners but does have control over what should have been provided.
Wow! I am sorry that you were so disappointed with your visit. I reached out and asked if you needed anything and was told "all is great!". If you'd requested an iron & ironing board, I'd have brought it by that day. New properties sometimes are missing a few things, and we're readily available to bring things, as needed. Regrettably, the parking pass can no longer be provided because a guest misplaced it. Salem has a very strict no replacements policy. In an effort to adapt to this situation, we agreed to pay for parking. The parking garage is quite close, and the guest has been reimbursed the $65. Please know that the neighbor was trying to be helpful with the recycling. With all the new challenges around recycling (like China not taking our waste anymore), Salem has changed their recycling rules, and are enforcing them to avoid issues with the single-stream recycling equipment. Finally, if a neighbor harasses you, please know I can only intervene if you tell me. Salem and Wizard's Watch welcome visitors.
We had a great stay at Wizards Watch! The little apartment was spotless and had all the necessities to make it a cozy home-away-from-home, including fresh, clean bath towels, comfy bed, fully stocked kitchen, extra blankets, and more. The location is ideal - walkable to Pickering Wharf, museums, trolley stops, great shops and restaurants, Essex St, parks, etc. The communication with the property manager was prompt and courteous. In sum, the apartment was clean, safe, welcoming, and a great value. If we ever make it back to Salem (and I hope we do!), Wizards Watch will see us again!
P.S. Go to Finz when Chris is serving and get the the seafood tomato stew. You'll thank me later.
Beth and her family were such delightful guests. Wizard's Watch is such a great location to see all that Salem has to offer. We look forward to hosting your next visit.
