The Perfect Getaway!! Dog Friendly!

Bedrooms 1
Property type condo
Minimum Stay 2 nights

About the property

Dog friendly Condo steps to Chair lift.

ISnapchat and Instagram have nothing on this 1BR/1BA Panorama condo. Amazing ski runs are literally outside your front door—with the chair lift right outside—and the safe and quiet Village boasts lots to see and do for all ages. Take that, screens!

Not only will the kids be happy, your furry friends will be, too—this is a dog-friendly unit.

When you come in from the slopes, warm up those wind-blown noses and chilled fingers and toes in front of our wood-burning fireplace. Curl up on the couch to dive into a good book or enjoy some real face time (not the iPhone version!).

The Village is full of delicious dining options, but if you’re craving a quiet night in, cook up something simple in the fully-equipped kitchen. It has full-size appliances and ample prep space so your sous chefs can give you a hand. A four-person dining table offers seating for your meals and is also a great spot for marathon games of Monopoly.

Keep meals simple and grill out on the patio’s BBQ. The resort also has shared grilling areas available to guests if you’re feeling extra social and want to meet some new friends. If you do want to connect with the outside world, the condo has complimentary WiFi. Other great amenities include air-conditioning, washer/dryer and free underground parking.

Claim the relaxing master bedroom for yourself, where you’ll sleep like a baby in the queen bed thanks to all that fresh mountain air. Set the kids up for the night in the living room with full-size Murphy bed. The shared full bathroom has a tub/shower combination.

Pull on your ski boots and strap on your skis. In no time, you’ll be traversing down the mountain. The Toby lift right outside the door takes you to the top of the mountain, where you can ski down to the Village to buy your ski pass for the day. With the lift so close by, you can feel comfortable giving the older kids a little extra freedom to ski and play on the terrain park by themselves.

After all that activity, you’ll be craving some relaxation. Soothe those sore ski muscles in the Horsethief Complex hot tubs or head into the village to soak in the hot springs pools.

You’re just minutes from the Village at Panorama, where the adorable streets are lined with shops and restaurants. Start your day with a warm beverage at Lusti Cappuccino Bar and end it with a cold pint at T-Bar Bar and Grill. Other great dining options include the Cabin Restaurant and Smokehouse for delicious BBQ and elevenFIFTY for fine dining.

Treat yourself with a day at the spa, getting a massage or facial. The Wee Wascals Day Care offers childcare if you’re looking for some adult-only time.

The fun doesn’t stop when the snow melts. The area has some incredible trails for hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding. Get an adrenaline rush going tandem paragliding, taking an ATV tour, or challenging the rapids on a white-water rafting trip. Prefer something a little more laid-back and easier on the heart rate? There’s also tennis, archery and mountain yoga. Greywolf Golf Resort is home to the diabolical Cliffhanger hole, consistently ranked one of the best golf holes in the world, while Greywolf itself is one of Golf Digest’s Top-100 courses.

About Cathy Scott

My husband Kelly and I have 4 vacation rentals 2 in western Canada and 2 on Kaanapali beach Maui. We spend a lot of our time traveling but the mountains hold our heart. We enjoy the ski hill, the lakes in area and the multiple hot springs. We have been in the vacation rental industry for 10 years.

Cathy Scott purchased this condo in 2007

Why Cathy Scott chose Panorama

Panorama is the Village that we traveled to with our children while they were growing up. We like the safe family village resort. This ski village has everything except the high cost and all the people. It is a 4 season resort. There are some many things that we love about the area but here are a few. Grey Wolf Golf Course, skiing and boarding, mountain biking, hiking, white water rafting, quading and dirt biking, Radium Hot springs, Fairmont hot springs, Lusser hot springs

What makes this condo unique

We enjoy it because the pace of life is so slow Horsethief. In the lower village it is very quiet your away from all the activity in the upper village. And then your only a 5 minute walk up to all the action.

You Can't Beat the Views and Value

  • 5 of 5

I was so impressed with this property. It was clean and well stocked. The robe was so comfortable I wanted to take it home with me. And to be nestled in the beautiful mountains was just what I needed. The gondola was close and I enjoyed the free scenic ride to the top of the village. I worked remotely from the coffee cafe and bar/restaurant area. What a treat to see wildlife: bear and elk and deer. I wish I would have brought my golf clubs to play this world renowned course.

Invermere is just a short scenic drive away and has excellent restaurants. Several area golf courses, hot springs, spas, boating and hiking trails could have kept me busy for weeks and I wished I could have extended my stay.

Owner Cathy was so easy to work with and her restaurant and spa recommendations were spot on. I'd love to return in winter to experience skiing at Panorama.

Needs updating - old place feel throughout

  • 2 of 5

This place is in the lower village; it is relatively far from the amenities and shops, but Panorama is not a big place. Climbing the hill to go to the hot tubs and pool is not ideal after a long day hiking though.

When we arrived, the patio furniture was extremely dusty, so we didn't use them.

Entering the place we were met with an unpleasant 'old place' smell. The furniture was basic, but adequate. The main bed was squeaky, the mattress quite uncomfortable and same for the pillows. No noise insulation to the floor above; one could hear every single footstep. Granted the price per night we paid was somewhat lower than other options, but when all fees are factored in (cleaning fees etc.) this was not good value for money.

Owner's Response: I am sorry you rented in the lower village instead of the Upper Village. There are lots of Hot Tubs in the Lower that you could have visited. And you were here in off season so the gondola was not running durning your stay You had talked to me about a number of other things while on your stay if you would have let me know about the outdoor furniture being dusty I would have been happy to send the cleaners to take care of that for you. We have ordered a new bed and frame. That will be installed very shortly.

Good value...

  • 4 of 5

Our stay in Cathy's condo for a ski weekend met all of our expectations, and I would recommend it. The only negative comments I would have is that the condo was not as clean as we would have expected (although it wasn't filthy by any means), and the hot tubs are a bit of a walk (and one wasn't working). All in all though, we'd stay there again. Good value.

Nice comfortable stay in a perfect location!

  • 4 of 5

Cathy was kind enough to allow us an early check in, when we arrived the cleaners hadn’t quite made it there yet, but she called them right away and within a half hour they were there cleaning. It was a nice comfortable stay and was perfect for our needs. The only feedback for maintenance is that the shower is very sensitive, one little turn it’s too hot and if you adjust slightly it’s too cold! Enjoyed our stay!!

Home away from home - bring the dog!

  • 5 of 5

The owner was outstanding from day one; she messaged me so I had her contact info.

She welcomed us bringing our dog (rare for VRBO's).

The condo could sleep 6 (bedroom, murphy bed, and pullout couch). The kitchen had all the cookware you could ever need, dishwasher, and bbq outside. The linens were fairly new, matching, and extras were in the closet.

The Toby chairlift is right behind the unit, so the kids can ski alone (including a terrain park) and come in for lunch / warm-up.

A small grocery & liquor store is just 2 minutes away, as is the gondola to the main village (operates 8:15 am - 10 pm).

There is a communal hot tub just 3 min walk in the complex; this central courtyard behind the condo is also a great place to send the kids to play.

Owner's Response: Laura thank you for your stay. Our dog is part of our family. What would a vacation be without your dog. Pano is such a dog friendly village!
