About Susan Mann

I am a social worker and my husband, Richard is a business man. I grew up in the greater Boston area and attended college at B.U. and Suffolk Univ. I have lived in Newton since 1969 and love the convenience and safety that Newton affords. Newton is known as the Garden City and for good reason. There are many flowering trees and shrubs throughout the city--It is a truly beautiful place. It is also a place where you can walk and run safely. Lately many bicycle lanes have been added. All this and so close to Boston. It only takes 15 minutes to get to Boston via the Express Bus which stops just one block from the property.

Because Rte 90 and 95 run through Newton you can also travel by car to either the beaches or mountains for scenic day trips very easily.

Susan Mann purchased this apartment in 1970

Why Susan Mann chose Newton

I love Victorian architecture and when I saw this property I fell in love. Typical Queen Anne design with period details. Angles and nooks and crannies, high ceilings, large windows and the feeling of space---priceless!!!

What makes this apartment unique

location and convenience are the true benefits. You can enjoy all the comforts of home and be close to the Arts, Historic places, Universities and the Ocean.

Also, my husband has installed interior Sound Proof Windows on all the windows in the house making the inside space like a museum.

The overall experience was amazing, Susan was polite, kind and lovely women and also her husband. The house was clean and so we'll kept with comfortable beds and nice furniture. Very peaceful neighborhood. I can't say anything bad, we were all pleased and if I return back to Boston will defiantly go back to this location.

Great stay

  • 5 of 5

For historic building, house is kept and maintained amazingly. It's a pretty big one, with huge master bedroom with enclosed office space and another bedroom a little smaller, specious living room and separate kitchen with pretty new appliances. Backyard is a hit for morning coffee time and cosy evenings. Parking lot is a bonus. Last but not least, Susan and her assistant Peter were very accommodating in our requests.

Great place in the Newton area

  • 5 of 5

Came for the Boston Marathon so wanted somewhere in between the start and the finish. This was just that. T stop right around the corner was convenient with an Express shuttle directly into Boston. A few restaurants Starbucks and Dunkin' Donuts across the Highway were a great convenience too. The accommodations were great. Even with 5 of us, we managed to make just 1 bathroom work. Don't buy the unlimited 7 day T pass because it does not work with the Express bus. Buy as you go. Beds were comfy and so were the couches. Susan was easy to work with and was very accommodating. Don't hesitate to stay here of the location is what you are looking for.

Perfect base for holiday or university visits

  • 5 of 5

Chose this property as we were looking for a base to look at universities in the Boston area. Location was ideal. As well, the property was immaculately kept, nicely furnished and well stocked so that we didn't have to buy any extras for our stay, other than food. Susan was very responsive to all queries and check in and check out procedure very easy. Would definitely stay here again if in the area and would recommend to any small group of visitors looking for accommodation in Boston.
