About this property

Short walk to the beach! 2 bedrooms, quiet neighborhood, fenced yard & WiFi

We want to assure our guests that we are taking extra precautions to make sure our home is cleaned and disinfected between reservations. Our cleaning service is highly trained and we are following the Pacific County Health Department's recommendations.

We do offer extended stay rates. Seven night reservations are discounted a full night automatically. Six night reservations are discounted a half night automatically. We take Sunday to Sunday reservations during the months of July and August.

This is a nicely appointed two bedroom cottage. It includes a fully equipped kitchen, full bath, free WiFi, cable television with a DVD player and a free-standing propane stove in the living room. We are a short walk to the ocean on a paved path adjacent to the beach approach road. This is a very cozy and comfortable beach get-away! For larger groups consider combining with with our adjacent rental home 328586.

For the comfort of all of our guests, please do not smoke or vape in our home
(see the vacation rental terms and conditions for more information).

NOTE: The beds are all double beds and the laundry facilities, may be shared with our adjacent rental. The laundry room is a separate building that guests have access to from both rentals.

We are dog friendly and will allow 1 dog with approval under the following conditions; 1) there is a one time $60 pet fee, 2) dogs are NOT allowed on any furniture, 3) dogs are NOT to be left alone in the home unless crated and 4) owners are responsible for picking up after their dogs in the yard and are responsible for any damage done by their dogs. Pet waste bag dispensers are provided.

I enjoyed the quaint feel of a classic beach cottage; the location was great for walking to the beach; the supplies were great and the beds so so comfy! Birthday Get Away
This property is located right along the main route to the beach. It’s quiet and relatively private. Well equipped kitchen, but also with several good dining options nearby. Long Beach has a different, more relaxed vibe than other North Pacific resort towns we’ve been to. A good thing. It seems this has been a popular rental for many decades, and I can see why.

My Beach Time
This was my third stay at The Last Resort and again the cabin was extremely clean and well cared for. The beach is just a short walk away, then up to Long Beach and shopping on the way back. Even though John and Dodie were out of town they provided emergency contacts should the occasion arise (which it didn't). I'm making plans already for next year.

Why they chose this property

The Long Beach peninsula in SW Washington State is a popular vacation destination with it's unique features of beaches that can be driven on, pristine water, beautiful forests, historic Oysterville, excellent dining opportunities, clamming, fishing/crabbing, boating, kayaking, birding, hiking and lighthouses.

What makes this property unique

This home came into our family in 1927 and was extensively remodeled and upgraded in 2001 by a local architect builder keeping it's original style but adding more modern conveniences. This cottage was one of several cottages originally built in 1905 on the property originally belonging to J.K. Gill, a well known Portland stationer.
