About this property

Dorothy's East End 1 Bd/1 Ba Perfect For 1 or 2 Travelers

This individually built pensione is located behind my residence and features one bedroom with a queen size bed; concrete floors heated in kitchen & bath; off street parking; washer & dryer; one bath with walk in shower and granite countertop; tons of closet space; air-conditioning; a fully equipped kitchen, granite countertop, but without dishwasher; DirecTV; WIFI; DVD player; books, games, etc. This home was a year long labor of love furnished with everything you would want or need in a vacation rental. It is professionally cleaned after each guest. Since I live on the same property I am available to help in any way to make your visit more enjoyable. You are welcome to use bicycles, the barbecue and fire pit or sit in backyard seating area and enjoy the outdoors. Everything is new in this adorable 50's retro furnished fun space. Walk downtown in 20 minutes or to Municipal Park and Greenbelt in 5 minutes. Close to Botanical Gardens, Boise State University, St. Luke's & VA hospitals, and all Boise has to offer.

For special occasions I love to decorate such as for honeymoons, birthdays and anniversaries.

The perfect place to sneak away for a weekend, to host out of town visitors, to host family reunion guests, or stay while doing a remodeling project at your home.

Perfect!
This is a perfect place for a couple to stay! Immaculate, cozy, bright and welcoming! Although we spent most of our time with family nearby, there were plenty of resources and suggestions for us to review if we didn't know what to do in Idaho! We would stay there again in a heartbeat and definitely recommend Dorothy's beautiful place to anyone looking! I wish the weather would have been warmer so that we could have taken advantage of the lovely outdoor area and gardens. You are a fabulous host Dorothy, thank you!

I grew up in Los Angeles and moved to Idaho in the late 70's. Attended John Burroughs Junior High, Fairfax High, University of Colorado and graduated with a degree in accounting from Woodbury University in Los Angeles. Started my career with Touche, Ross (now Deloitte) and I am still a practicing CPA. My three children and three of four grandchildren all live here in Boise.

Why they chose this property

I have lived in my current home for 27+ years and have owned numerous rental properties for the same number of years. With the trend in "little houses" I thought it might be fun to make use of my backyard and build a little rental property. Traveling around the world I have often stayed in B&B's and enjoyed the atmosphere so very different from a hotel. In addition when we remodeled my residence several years ago I found it very difficult to find a short term rental and feel there is a market for this type of rental.

What makes this property unique

My reason to locate to Boise's East End is that it has wider streets but is a quiet neighborhood close to everything that I enjoy and all the neighbors are friendly.
