An authentic adobe home with buttressed thick walls, gleaming plaster and deep window wells, the shapes echoing a Georgia O'Keeffe painting, pulled us in the first day we stepped inside. We had to make it ours. We had a vision for the backyard, which was raw earth before we installed a native garden that surprises thoughout the year. Two blocks from Canyon Road, we walked by in a softening snow fall from Art Feast the very first weekend, smelling the piñon in the air.
