Looking for the perfect vacation/work vacation destination?

Bellmora Beach House is a short scenic drive East of Charlottetown, (the capital of Prince Edward Island) on PEI’S Points East Coastal Drive. Have fun exploring the many local beaches, restaurants, golf courses, and of course, enjoy the some of the freshest sea food around. The Points East Coastal Drive has more than 50 amazing beaches with the warmest saltwater north of the Carolina's.
We are also an easy scenic drive to Cavendish, Cavendish Beach, North Rustico and of course our Ann of Green Gables.!

Your vacation experience will begin as you drive down the tree-lined red dirt lane where at the end you'll find the beach house surrounded by beautiful birch trees, expansive lawns, mature gardens, and the red sand beach at your doorstep.

The beach:
Just steps from the beach house you'll find the natural calm red sand beach, perfect for couples, families, children and pets. Enjoy long beach walks along the expansive beach, take a dip in the refreshing salt water, collect seashells and sea glass, build sand castles, and at low tide try your hand at clam digging.

A bit about our natural beach:
Our beach and shoreline are always changing and from time to time depending on the time of year, tides and currents you will find seaweed on the beach. We don't remove the seaweed as it helps with erosion and also gives the marine life a place to live and hide from predators. On a rare occasion, we do have jellyfish visit our beach (usually in July) if the conditions are right. There are two types on our shores, one will give you a mild sting. If you rub sand on the spot the sensation will subside. Both types are non life-threatening.
Lastly, the sand actually shifts on an inconstant basis due to the currents and tides. Seawater rises continuously reworking and shaping the sand resulting in more or less sand on the beach during any given season. We love our ever-changing natural beach and we hope you do too!

The Beach House:
Experience the Island way of life in a 3 bedroom 2 bath Cape Cod style beach house with 12 acres to explore and enjoy.
Features include a bright open concept fully equipped modern kitchen and dining area that seats 6 or more comfortably. Enjoy ocean views from almost every window.
Off the kitchen is a screened-in sun porch with a comfortable sitting area where you can enjoy more of the amazing views while sipping your morning coffee.
Relax in and enjoy the cozy living room with comfy furniture, perfect for reading or watching your favorite show. There's tons of natural light, a gas fireplace for the cooler days and more beautiful water views from every window.
There are two well-appointed bedrooms off the living room. Both are decorated with antique furnishings. A full bathroom with shower and tub (with spa toiletries) completes the downstairs.
Upstairs you will find the third bedroom with a queen size bed, dresser and small "office" space with a desk, chair and printer. The room is also decorated with antique furnishings. Directly off the master bedroom is a private ensuite bathroom equipped with a Jacuzzi tub and shower. (with spa toiletries.)

Indoor Entertainment
Complimentary Wi-Fi, Netflix, Crave TV (Canadian Channel) DVD player, a selection of DVD's, board games, puzzles and a selection of books for all ages.

Outdoor Entertainment
Included in your stay enjoy the use of bicycles, (bike helmets not provided) 3 kayaks, (life jackets and paddles provided), beach toys, horseshoe pits, six hole golf chipping course two golf clubs and balls, lawn chairs, beach chairs and a propane barbecue.
If you'd like to explore more of the Maritime's the Northhumberland Bay Ferry to Nova Scotia is only 18 km from the beach house. During the summer months, reservations for the ferry are recommended.
The beach house is also a short distance away from the Point Prim Lighthouse, Orwell Historic Village, Belfast Highland Greens golf course (9 hole) and the Confederation Trail which is great for both cycling and hiking.
If you prefer to just sit and unwind you can enjoy our cozy sitting area in our screened in gazebo. Then, as the day comes to a close, you can enjoy the spectacular sunsets, stargaze or enjoy a fire in our outdoor fire pit.
For a real fresh PEI lobster experience you can purchase lobsters directly from the local wharf 15 minutes away between May and the end of June. Of course fresh lobster is still available outside the lobster season at various seafood markets.

Absolutely Perfect Vacation Home
This was a perfect week in a perfect home! The grounds are gorgeous (very well maintained) and the cottage felt like home. Everything, and I mean, EVERYTHING, we could have asked for was provided from kitchen products to dog toys to cozy blankets and pillows everywhere. The home is obviously well-cared for and loved. We certainly loved and would be happy to become "squatters" if only we could! :) Angela was wonderful to work with and we are hoping to be repeat guests soon!

A Relaxing Stay
Another relaxing stay at Bellmora. The weather was less than glorious until my last day. But it didn't matter - the beach house is comfortable, cozy, and the view is just wonderful. Very calming and restful. My dog and I loved our walks on the beach. The property manager and her crew do a great job keeping the beach house tidy, clean, and well appointed. Another great stay!!! Thank you!!!!!

peaceful cottage on the water
Angela and Steve provide a home away from home. Stayed 4 days with friends and enjoyed every minute! Kitchen and grill were great for cooking. Bedrooms comfy and the views were so serene. Lots of privacy on this large well kept property and walking the beach at low tide was so relaxing. Saw so many beautiful lighthouses. We took day trip to Cavendish and had outstanding meal at The Table Culinary Studio--very pricey BUT worth it as food is all local and lovingly prepared by Chef Hunter. Coopers Market is small family run grocery and is close by --has wonderful meats, fresh fish . Prim Point Lighthouse was interesting and ate at the Chowder House on picnic table overlooking the ocean! Thank you Angela and Steve for sharing your home with us! We made lots of wonderful memories!

Island Paradise
Bellmora Beach House is paradise on an island. We had a fantastic time. We loved seeing the 25+ Herons every evening when the tide was out. The house is so comfortable and very equipped. Sitting out watching the sunsets was so relaxing which is what we wanted. Would not hesitate to go again. Thank you for the use of your home. A+ accommodations.

THE SOUCY’S
We had a wouderfull time at your cottage. Nature is what it is and nothing that you or we can control. Mosquitos are probably and important key if you wish to do things outside on the property. The cottage provide everything you need to archived your best meal or to order out. Information provided was very useful. We recommand this place as we understand that nothing is perfect in this world . It is more what your going to do out of it that counts. Thank you.

Steve and I are Maritimers at heart having lived on the East Coast most of our lives. Work took our family to Ottawa, the capital of Canada 17 years ago. Ottawa is beautiful, but the east coast will always be "home" Our dream is to one day move back to the East Coast but for now we are more than happy to share our little piece of PEI paradise with others.

Why they chose this property

We've always dreamed of buying an waterfront property and we had a mental picture of exactly what we were looking for. We finally found our dream cottage on PEI with Bellmora Beach House. It was love at first sight, the unspoiled beauty was breathtaking from the beautiful red sand beach to the acres of groomed lawn and gardens. An added bonus for us was that we were able to carry on the 15 year legacy of providing vacation experiences started by the previous owner.

What makes this property unique

Bellmora Beach House is a very unique property. You can feel the tranquility and magic from the moment you begin the drive down the long tree lined lane way. As you come to the end of the lane the view opens up to a wide breathtaking expanse of the 5 acre groomed property, where the beach house sits, a stone's throw away from the beautiful red sand beach. We will never forget our first coffee in the screened in porch overlooking the beach and neither will you!
