About this property

Perfect for a Short Getaway or an Extended Stay!

The Bearfoot Cabin is a cozy 2 story home sitting on 2.5 acres in the Flathead Valley, centrally located between Whitefish, Columbia Falls and Kalispell. It is a lovely rural setting but is only minutes from Glacier National Park, Whitefish Mountain Ski Resort, airport, medical facilities and hospitals. It's the perfect getaway for relaxing after a day of work or a fun-filled day in the beautiful Flathead Valley. The area is an outdoor enthusiast's paradise with something for everyone: hiking, biking, fishing, downhill skiing, cross country skiing, boating, kayaking, paddle boarding, rafting, golfing, dog sledding. Whitefish, which is only about 6 miles from the Bearfoot Cabin, has wonderful restaurants, theater, music and shopping. The area is known for its glorious summers and winter skiing, but there is something special about all of the seasons. Depending on your interests, spring and fall can be some of the best times with a break from the crowds. Spring biking on Going to the Sun Road before the road is open to vehicles is a favorite of the locals. Fall colors are spectacular with the bright yellow aspens in September and the vivid golden larch in October, often against the backdrop of snow covered mountains. November is a lovely, quiet time in the Flathead Valley. The weather can be variable but the scenery never disappoints.

Best place ever!
Nancy and Jesse’s place was more than I could have expected. Beautiful. Quiet. Clean and they made me fell so welcome and safe. My dog and I stayed for a month and didn’t want to leave. We will be back! Close to many trails and town but nice and secluded

Bear Foot Cabin-Columbia Falls, Mt.
Our stay was awesome! The cabin was beautiful! Loved sitting on the porch watching the wildlife! Owners were easy to work with..when I had a question-they answered me in minutes. They kept us updated on anything that might be happening around us..to ensure that we were not disturbed. Thanks for a very enjoyable vacation!

Wonderful Get Away
My wife & I stayed at this property for a number of days & thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The amenities were exactly as shown on VRBO. Everything was in working order and very clean. Quiet surroundings, with quick & easy access to Whitefish, Columbia Falls & Kalispell. Would definitely stay here again in the future.

Beautiful and comfy cabin
My family and I enjoyed our stay in this beautiful, comfy cabin. It had everything we needed to prepare meals together and a space for all of us to spread out and relax. We enjoyed time out on the front porch each morning and watching the deer in the yard every evening. It is tucked away in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood and close to town. We wished we could have stayed longer! We will definitely stay there again on our next visit to Montana.

Our Best Rental Ever!
What a beautiful, well-maintained, nicely decorated cabin with everything you need for a relaxing vacation. That was not a single thing we could have wanted that wasn't here. We have stayed and many VRBOs and this is our favorite. Strongly recommended.

Originally from Memphis, TN we vacationed here in 2000 and never wanted to leave! So we bought a piece of land and built the cabin in 2004. After vacationing in the cabin with friends and family every chance we got, we decided to make the Flathead Valley our permanent home. We moved into the cabin in 2010 while we built a home next door, which we moved into in 2011. The house and cabin are separated by a stand of trees so each have privacy. We certainly respect your privacy while on vacation, but are also happy to meet you if we are home and happy to answer questions about all the fun things to do around here!

Why they chose this property

We loved the rural setting, away from the hustle & bustle. But we also loved that it was close and convenient to everything! We feel like we live in the country, but we are only minutes away from all the conveniences of the surrounding towns - not to mention Glacier National Park, the Bob Marshall Wilderness area, 2 ski resorts and too many lakes and rivers to even name!

What makes this property unique

Rural feel but convenient to all the Valley has to offer. Only 7 minutes to Whitefish and Columbia Falls, 15 minutes to Kalispell, 10 minutes to the airport and 25 minutes to Glacier National Park. County roads and driveway are plowed during winter weather.
