About this property

This is a cozy like new, one bedroom suite located on the second floor of a Mountain View home. The property is situated at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac in the East Village of Sun Peaks. The timber frame home is located in the newest neighbourhoods of Lookout Ridge in Sun Peaks.

A true ski in ski out home from the moment you exit your private entrance. Right at your porch, clip into your skis and off you go to the East Village ski way running alongside our property. The ski way will take you to one of two of your first chairlifts at the base of Mt. Morrisey, The Morrissey Chairlift or The Orient Chairlift.

Lookout is fantastic

For the last six years we have been staying right at the Village for convenience. We weren't sure how this location would fare for us in terms of getting to the ski lifts and Village but it had proven A+ for location, for peace and quiet, for views, for access to the Village. Cathie is very thorough in preparation for check-in, for staying and for departing from this stay. She met up with us initially to go over where things were. Answered any questions we had. Details abound in how well this place is is. Bedsheets are 1000 count, bed is comfortable. Heated floors, great shower, rubber duckie nightlight, supplies like a tootbrush or dental floss. She had a basket of goodies, ie. organic non alcoholic beverage, chocolates, Pringles, peanuts, hand and boot warmer packets. Kitchen has spices, coffee maker, proper cookware, ovenware. Beautiful countertops. The ski locker was perfect for our skiis. The hot tub was wonderful. The Village shuttle stops right in front of the door and runs daily every 30 min to one hour depending on the time of day. Cathie was an excellent host and very approachable. She even had some fresh blueberry scones waiting for us after a day of skiing! We loved the access to the ski hill right outside our door. Thanks for a wonderful stay and everything in between Cathie!

Great Vacation Home

Comes as advertised. Perfect one-bedroom suite with everything you need for a ski-in/ski-out holiday at reasonable rate including private hot tub. Cathie is a very thoughtful Host who makes every effort to ensure your stay is enjoyable from start to finish. This was our second stay here and we came back for a reason. Everything was just as good the second time around!

Great ski-in/ski-out apartment

Cathie is a great host and answered all of our questions. Communication was not an issue. The apartment was clean and the view from the hot tube was fantastic. Sun Peaks is a great skiing location with no lines during the holidays. We had a fantastic stay and the apartment was perfect. I highly recommend staying here on your next visit to Sun Peaks.

Lovely true ski-in ski-out

This property is a wonderful one bedroom apartment to ski Sun Peaks. About a dozen steps lead you from your ski locker to the East Village Ski Way, with pretty easy access to both Orient and Morrisey chairs. (You need to ski down, take skis off, cross the road, and skate over to Nordic center and Orient Chair. Morrisey is a bit further push.) Cathie is the consummate hostess and lives on site (her house is attached ). The property was immaculate (and my standards are very high) and we very much appreciated the excellent communication as well as the welcome basket and all the little extras. Note: Stairs are required for access from parking in the driveway to the front door. Kitchen was well stocked with herbs and Cathie was very accommodating when I needed a stock pot to make a soup. Even the bathrooom was stocked with little things that you might have forgotten. Did I mention that she was the consummate hostess? Would definitely stay again next time we’re in Sun Peaks!

Excellent!

We spent a lovely week in Sun Peaks. The suite was well equipped, very clean and furnished and decorated to a high standard. Had a very upmarket feel. Great views from the patio doors. The ski-in ski-out access was very welcome as was the private hot tub, with robes and extra towels provided. The welcome basket was a nice touch as were the freshly baked cookies! Cathie is a great host, very kind and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. We would have no hesitation in staying here again and would highly recommend this suite to anyone else looking in Sun Peaks.

This is an area both my husband and I were raised in. We have spent countless hours enjoying the bounty this part of British Columbia offers. We have been skiing at Sun Peaks for 40 years and with the development of the resort, we have had the added enjoyment of hiking, biking, golfing, canoeing and picnicking and many more activities.

Why they chose this property

We chose our lot carefully for it's accessibility to the ski slopes and Mountain and Valley views.
There is nothing better than stepping out onto your ski porch, clipping into your skis and hitting the slopes right from your home. No walking in ski boots and carrying skis here! We enjoy the convenience of skiing home for lunch and not having to wait in restaurant lines for a table.
