About Chris Nielson

I moved to San Diego in 1984 from Illinois. I’ve been to Utah numerous times to ski in the past 30 years. I am a licensed Real Estate Agent with an intricate attention to detail & I run a vrbo in Mission Beach in San Diego with 100% 5-star reviews. I love to ski, hike, and ride my beach cruiser on the Boardwalk.

Chris Nielson purchased this condo in 2015

Why Chris Nielson chose Old Town

I fell in love with Park City the first time I visited it 20 years ago. Enamored by the cachet of Park City, I was actually going there to ski & visit!! After my first visit I knew then I would own a place here some day. The mountain is a blast to ski and charming Historic Main Street is full of great shopping and restaurants. Ladies - you will find the cutest clothes, shoes, boots, ski gear and jewelry; when you’re tired from skiing, send the boys to No Name Saloon and spend an afternoon shopping!

What makes this condo unique

I chose this condo because of the proximity to Park City Mountain. I can walk out my door and walk across the street and be on the lifts in a few minutes. I also like that the shuttle stop is right across the street, and can jump on the free Park City bus to ride to Historic Main Street where there are shops and restaurants.

Wonderful accommodations, and great location. Perfect for anyone who prefers to cook rather than eat all meals out. Small, but cozy.

Can't comment on any extras, as my son and I watched TV on his computer and brought our own games to entertain, when not skiing.

For those that don't know the Area, Snow Crest Condominiums give you access to most or all of the bus routes, either by going to the resort center from the bus stop across the street, or a short distance to Main Street Bus, or to the Fresh Market.

Perfect location!

  • 5 of 5

This condo is in a great location. Park City lift is across the street and main street is just a few minute drive away. You can see the ski slopes from the window! Just around the corner there is a market, drug store and Starbucks. The condo was very comfortable for 2 people. Super comfortable bed! All the necessities were provided, including (ladies, you will appreciate this) a lighted make-up mirror! Unit was very clean.

Location location location...

  • 5 of 5

The location of this little condo less than a few hundred yards from the ski lifts was optimal. It was very well equipped with kitchen items, toiletries, and a great view of the mountain. It was a great place to stay for the two of us, though I imagine it would be tight with more than two adults. We were also just a short hop to downtown Park City...we had a rental car but walked to downtown, took the bus (which is free and the stop is right by the condo), ubered, and drove and all were very easy and convenient. Great economical way to experience the good life in Park City. The hot tub and heated pool also looked great, though we didn’t quite make it in.

Perfect location!

Short walk to 3 lifts taking you to the base or other side of the mountain. No need for a car as there is a ski rental across the street, nearby grocery and 7-11, and it's a short bus ride into town. I never waited more than 5 minutes for the bus. The owner provided a number of nice amenities, including good coffee for the coffee maker, and robes for the pool and hot tub.

Not bad but could have been better

  • 3 of 5

2 adults and 1 child stayed here for four nights during spring break March 2017. It was enough room for us, but it would've been tight with another person. The sitting and eating areas we just large enough for us to fit comfortably.

-well stocked kitchen, bathroom, bedroom

-good storage for clothes, coats

-good communication via email regarding check in and out instructions

-nice big tv and great wifi

-convenient keyless entry

-parking lot close to condo

-not ski in and out (approx 1/4 mile from condo to actual ski resort, not just to the huge parking lot

-fairly noisy condo- needs better insulation and double paned windows; it's a corner unit and we heard a lot of truck and bus traffic on the 2 roads just outside the condo; we could also hear people climbing the wooden stairs and walking in the condo above us

-no central heat and air- we actually didn't need the heat but it was much warmer than normal when we were there, and it got warm in the living area which doesn't have a ceiling fan (luckily the bedroom has a ceiling fan); we opened the sliding glass door that went to a small balcony, but the street traffic was too loud and frequent to open the door all the way

- very small area where the toilet is located

Owner's Response: Thank you for your feedback on my condo. I am having triple paned windows installed this spring after the ski season. There are baseboard heaters in the living room, bedroom and hallway and as this is a ski condo there is no A/C. I’m sorry you hit a warm season with not very good skiing during ski season. That also must have colored your opinion toward the negative of my condo. Typically the skiing and weather are great in Park City. The bathroom is a normal size bathroom. I left the door in between the shower and the sink so that one person could be showering while another person could be using the sink area. I’m pretty sure you didn’t walk to the closest lifts. Just across the street and the parking lot is a ticket window and 3 lifts. One lift goes to the back side of the mountain and 2 lifts allow you to take a short lift ride up and then ski down the the main lodge area. I’m not exactly sure of the distance, but it’s way less than 1/4 mile. If you walked over to the main lodge area it MAY be about 1/4 of a mile but the most efficient way is to take a short lift up and ski down from there. My listing advertises the square footage and also doesn’t advertise that it’s a ski in ski out condo. Best regards, Chris

Love the location of the condo! The condo is clean, modern, and right on the mountain.

  • 5 of 5

This is a great condo to stay at. The condo is newly renovated, clean, and right on the mountain. The location is what sold us the most as we were able to walk to the lifts every day. The condo is also right near a shuttle pick up spot so you can ride the bus to the lifts if you'd like, or ride into town for a nice dinner. Overall we had a great stay at this location and we would definitely stay here again.
