Why John Bauer chose Byrdstown

When we spent our first down camping on this property, the full moon came out about 2 AM and lit the canyon wall up, it was magic. We were hooked.

What makes this cabin unique

The way this cabin was designed, you feel like you're outside while your relaxing indoors. Large yard for croquet or touch football or tossing ball (we call it The Park).

Guestbook comments from the owner

We came here to reconnect with family - near and far. The cabin offered the perfect setting and easily accomodated our guests. Our days were spent on and in the river, with not a thought of venturing further for entertainment or adventure. May all others who visit be as blessed as we were.

Hidden treasure

  • 5 of 5

Stayed here October 2017. The cabin and the rock wall on river is gorgeous. Cabin is clean, spacious, has everything you need. Short drive to lake if you want to rent a pontoon boat for a day. We didn't explore too much, but I didn't see a close grocery store so you should bring what you need for food/supplies. This place is relaxing and beautiful. Wish it was my own! Grateful they share it!

The Perfect Escape for our "Irmacation"!

  • 5 of 5

We had to find something last minute when evacuating due to Hurricane Irma. We couldn't have asked for a better spot! It was so relaxing and the perfect setting for our family. My son LOVED having the creek outside in the back and we had bonfires every morning. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

Truly an amazing, beautiful rental!

  • 5 of 5

This luxurious cabin was the perfect rental for our family vacation ... situated in a beautiful, peaceful, remote location. Pictures by owner accurately described the cabin and its spacious surroundings. It met and exceeded all of our expectations. Would highly recommend to a friend or relative.

Family Retreat

  • 5 of 5

We came from Knoxville with our family of 8 for a 3-day stay and absolutely loved everything. The house is beautiful and in a very private and relaxing setting. The house is well equipped and has an awesome kitchen with high end appliances and coffee maker. Plenty of room with 3 bedrooms and bathrooms. We spent a lot of time on the wrap around porch enjoying the rocking chairs and glider swing. The house is well constructed and the landscaping is perfect. The creek provided lots of entertainment for my boys with fishing and kayaking. The fish weren't that big but we got a nice variety of sunfish, pumpkinseeds, bluegills, and smallmouth bass. We were only 2 hours from home but felt very far away because this place is so unique with the high bluffs along the canyon. We will definitely come back and highly recommend it. The only negative is that there is not a nearby store so come with your food and milk as its not convenient to run out and get anything.
