Family ski trip
Good basic ski condo. The layout of the condo is a bit awkward but it is functional. For example, the fireplace is nice but the layout of the condo does not take advantage of it.
The kitchen is basic a good pans and cooking utensils. the table top appliances are very cheap. For instance, the Mr coffee machine from the 1990s does not have an automatic shut off. One humidifier was broken. The other humidifier was a cheap system that runs a fan over water. We filled the tank on arrival and ran it full on and it took a week for the single fill to be evaporated. We hung wet towels to help keep the air moist.
There are areas that appear unfinished (the repairs to the bathroom ceiling should probably be painted) and the caulking in the bathroom is sloppy. The listing also advertised a grill but there was no grill on the deck or any guidance on where to find one.
The walk to the Vail village is a manageable distance.
Finally, you will be asked to sign a contract 1 week before your stay that asks you to indemnify the owners against everything that could possibly happen. It is an unfair one way contract. You don't get your room key instructions until you sign so no choice but to sign.If you cancel the reservation at this point, you lose the entire payment. Had I read this contract when making the reservation, I would have selected a different place
