- Parking: Lots of questions Notes on accommodation: Nov-April: Heating comes in 4 forms: (1) dehumidifiers which raise temperature slightly and improve comfort vastly (2) slight electric heating (3) Dovre log-burning stove in living room (4) economical biomass pellet-burning heater with forced air ducting for bedrooms, atrium, and ensuite. You buy wood and pellets locally. For months Nov-April you get an electricity allowance of 20 kWH/day and pay the rest at cost (0.14 euro/unit), in case you use electicity inappropriately. Pellets are very economical: 4 euros for a 15kg bag, good for 7-14hrs heating - search for Leroy Merlin 'pellets combustibles', 1/2 hr drive or get a 1/2 tonne delivered, 190 euros in 2018. Outside: Large private roof terrace with views over adjacent spectacular church and town. Hardwood table, chairs, steamers. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and bedlinen included, changed weekly. House cleaned weekly. Other: Additional room with sofa/daybed

Why Giles chose Vejer de la Frontera
It was love at first sight! I love it, I know that I am looking after a special place with millennia of history, and I like that people are happy in it and that it contributes to the local economy. The people here have a lot of time for other people, especially Spanish speakers and it is a very warm and family-centric culture. I also value the very fresh air free of dust and pollution, the glorious local food and drink, the fact that not every single day has a blazing sun and blue sky, the climate is more nuanced whilst being at the southernmost tip of mainland europe. People live well here - oh that this were available elsewhere! This particular property is for those who love to be in the centre of it all, between church and castle - you will find others 'in the area', but it's not quite the same thing.
What makes this Apartment unique
If you like to feel 'on top of the hill' then this property may appeal either because it is in such a privileged position, adjacent to the church overlooking some utterly beautiful cobbled streets and small plaza, or because of the unusually spacious 10m lounge and huge airy layout. If these aspects do not influence you, then all the delightful bars and restaurants within 5 mins may do so. The more homework you do, the more you will discover that this property is different from the average 100 square metre offering and that's why so many return - see the photos for guest commentaries of families who have been 10x and love it more and more.
