Lovely villa in a great location
This is a lovely villa in a great location. On the edge of the small and quiet village of Dračevac it is only overlooked by fields and olive groves. The villa had everything we needed including a brilliant pool and has sun all day long.
The main restaurants and bars of Porec are only 10 minutes away and some beautiful hilltop villages, including Motovun and Groznjan, are about 45 minutes drive.
If you have kids, or even if you don't, the zip wire at Pazin is a great experience.
Many thanks to the owner John for keeping in regular contact and providing some fantastic information, advice and tips.
I'm delighted that you enjoyed your break. We love Istria, and will welcome you back any time!
Great location and lovely villa
All the family had a superb vacation - the villa was perfect with a great pool and lovely views over meadow, small olive grove and vineyard to the wooded hills beyond. Facilities were perfect for us, everything worked, was clean and in excellent condition.
A couple of suggestions:
Driving instructions from airport – exit for Baderna is 302 not 303.
Recommendations for guest information:
Include number 61 & postcode 52440 in the villa address.
Include the amount of tourist tax that needs to be paid, and to have enough cash to pay on arrival if the agent is meeting you.
Include some recycling info – its free money! Kaufland supermarket in Porec will recycle glass, whole plastic bottles and cans (don't crush them). At the front of the supermarket to the right there is a small building where you take your recycling and get a refund ticket. The amount of refund is indicated on the bottle/can label – normally 0.5 Kuna. You take your refund ticket to customer services and they give you the cash back.
Local beer bottles can be returned at place of purchase for 1 Kuna each but you must keep your receipt and show it at the till.
Your positive suggestions were appreciated.
We are in the process of making all of the changes that you suggest - we're glad that you liked Villa Carinthia and hope that you will visit again.
Really, really nice!
A very well appointed property with the added bonus of a feeling of complete isolation (even though it's in a small village). The pool area has sun all day long and was total chill out. The coastal town of Porec - 10 mins away - is a world heritage site and is an unspoilt gem.
Glad that you enjoyed it - and hope to see you again
Both villas are beautiful and have stunning views
As first time stayers at a rented villa we absolutely loved it. We were a party of 6 and we stayed at villa carinthia for 7nights and 1night at owners other villa and although a little smaller we actually preferred the second. Owner John was very helpful and let us text him unlimited questions regarding our stay. Perfect experience, everything was spotless
Thanks for your review..we do try to help people by answering questions and making suggestions. We look forward to seeing you again at Villa Carinthia or Villa Lancastria
The property was brilliant, really well equipped and very comfortable.
My partner and our three young children 3, 5 and 10 were over the moon with the villa, very spacious with an excellent pool. Only a short drive from poreć where there is lovely restaurants or another one if you like to try local quisine in fuscilin (dont hold me to my spelling! Ha) a couple of villages over which was beautiful we were made very welcome and he made changes to his menu to cater for our children. Overall we had an amazing time at villa carinthia if you want to get away from the world and spend time with a 5 star view i couldn't recommend it high enough.
Delighted that you enjoyed your stay - see you next year!
Did what it said on the tin
Lovely & quiet just as it said in advert. Could not fault anything. Air conditioning in bedrooms was most welcome. The private pool was clean and gardens and house spotless. A Bar B Q watching sunset was great. Thanks for a brilliant holiday.
