Town House in The Old Village, Vilamoura, Central Algarve - Beautiful, Village-Style Location, Roof Terrace With Stunning Views

The property is a perfect base for an Algarve holiday. The Old Village is one of the premier locations in the area, and is a development with real character. The gardens are superbly maintained. Restaurants, shops, bars and two pools are just a short walk away. A roof terrace offers 'al-fresco' dining, and has lovely views to the sea and along the coast. Vilamoura's famous golf courses are close by, and venturing further afield the town of Quartiera has wonderful markets for fresh produce and fish.

About Simon Westcott

Our family has owned this property since it was built in the early 1980's. We live in the UK, and love to visit Portugal whenever we can. We even have a Portuguese dog, who seems to like the UK as much as we like Portugal!

Now that our children have grown up, we are able to offer our property to other families so that they can enjoy it to.

We believe in offering our clients the very best service possible - helped by really wonderful local agents who are there to assist our clients should they need it.

Why Simon Westcott chose Loule region

We were looking for a family-friendly location in the Algarve and visited Vilamoura in the early days of its development. It was obvious that it was going to be something special, and it really has exceeded our dreams.

The Old Village is the most wonderful location, very cleverly designed and immaculately maintained. There's a wonderful sub-tropical charm about the place. It's quiet and relaxed yet has enough bars and restaurants to keep the most discerning guests happy.

What makes this condo unique

Our property overlooks gardens and is in one of the prettiest parts of the Old Village. It's quiet, yet central.

An evening meal or lunch on the roof terrace is just pure bliss. There are wonderful views across the rooftops and out to sea. What a great way to enjoy a few grilled sardines and a glass of vinho verde!

We had a fantastic time and couldn't fault it. From the moment we arrived at the airport onwards we were so well looked after by all staff etc it was really great. The apartment was lovely with all mod cons, and the facilities were brilliant. We are already talking of a party of us returning next year. You have been very professional from start to finish, making this an ideal holiday and one we would love to repeat. V&D V



We had a great time and would not hesitate in recommending the apartment. The accommodation was very clean, bright and cheery and one of the best equipped we have stayed at. The Old Village is a very pretty complex. It was quiet and relaxing and I wish I was still there... SC

A little piece of heaven

We've just spent 13 days in the Old Village and it was wonderful from start to finish. The property was located close to Princess Garden restaurant and the swimming pool. It had everything you needed from start to finish, and was very spacious for just the 2 of us. The view from the roof terrace was spectacular and a great deal of time was spent there given the glorious weather we had. I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending this great property.

Fantastic apartment in superb location

This apartment was well equipped, spotlessly clean and in a superb location on The Old Village. A couple of minutes stroll away from the supermarket, numerous pools, bars and resteraunts on site.

From our first email, Simon and Carol were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The welcome gift on arrival of water, milk and wine was a lovely touch!!!

I would definately recommend this apartment and I am hoping to return myself next year.

Excellent

The description of the property and facilities was excellent .

The property was clean & well maintained & was cleaned during our stay with fresh linen .

We were well informed by Simon , with an information desk available if needing help.

I certainly would recommend this property .

Fabulous accommodation in a fabulous location

Been travelling to Portugal for 30 years staying in Vilamoura the last 12 years however first time in the Old Village and what an experience. The apartment was well equipped, spotlessly clean and the location was superb. Booking with Mr Westcott was a pleasure and his communication was first class. We visited with my son who proposed to his fiancée and guess what we are travelling back next July for the wedding at the Old Village as we loved it so much.

Not sure why I hadn't discovered this before!!

Home comforts, stunning location

Lovely location, the old village is great for adults and kids alike.

The apartment is roomy and comfortable, with all the modern amenities you need to truly relax and enjoy your time.

The roof terrace and loungers are wonderful especially for a BBQ!

Could not fault this rental and after some disasters in the past I will definitely be returning year after year.

Coast/Beach:

Falasia is one of the largest stretches of beach in the Algarve, stretching from Vilamoura to Albufeira. It's within walking distance, but not for young children or in the heat of the summer. A regular bus service runs within Vilamoura, and this stops at the beach. If you're renting a car, there's covered parking there.

Travel:

Vilamoura is 20 minutes drive (25 kms) from Faro Airport. If you're not renting a car, it's an easy taxi-ride. You can organise a taxi (or minibus) for the journey from the airport at the time of booking your holiday. Car rental is really not necessary unless you want to venture further afield.

Distances:

There's a fantastic fish market and excellent fruit/vegetable market in Quarteira, about 3 kms from the Old Village. The fishing port of Portimao is 45 kms away - grilled sardines in one of the quay-side restaurants is a hightlight of many a trip to the Algarve.

The property is excellent for children as all amenities are available within the complex. The main pool has a huge 'shallow end' for safe bathing. Car rental and excursions can be arranged through our local property agents if required. Please note that the property has a stone spiral staircase. It might not be suitable for the very young or elderly. Outside: The gardens are a highlight of the Old Village and help give provide its unique character. Flowers and shrubs abound, and a huge bougainvillea graces the entrance to the property. The main pool at the Old Village is stunning, and often features on local postcards.
