Description of sleeping capacity: Sleeps 8/10 (4 Bedrooms) Notes on bedrooms: Groundfloor with 6 step staircase; Master bedroom with kingsize bed (32m2) and space for a 3rd bed and a 2nd bedroom with 3 single beds. Downstairs with separate outside entrances one twin and one double room (Kingsize) both with space for a 3rd bed.

You will be responsible for any damage to the rental property that is caused by you or your party during your stay.

- Arrivals after 10 PM incur an additional cost of 50 EUROS as a late check-in fee payable in cash to the caretaker. Departure before 10 AM.
- At departure house needs to be left tidy and organised. Rubbish bins emptied etc. If this is not the case an additional cleaning fee might be charged
- On request, and at no extra cost, we will provide a (removable) superior pool safety fence (1.2 m high and posts 1meter apart). See pictures

The local beaches or playas are idyllic – quiet, clean and safe. The nearest beaches to the villa are Cala Santandria and Cala Blanca (an easy bicycle-ride); further away Son Saura, Cala Macarella, Cala Galdana and Cala Mitjana are highly recommended and for sailing enthusiasts, Fornells on the North side of the island is a firm favourite. For the more energetic guests there are a range of outdoor sports to choose from - sailing, bicycle hire, horse riding and diving are available.
Mahon airport is 40 mins away. Ciutadella port is 10 mins away (3 hour fast ferry from Barcelona (www.balearia.es) and Mahon port is a 40 minutes drive. Car hire is recommended at Mahon Airport.
Nearby Cuitadella is a delightful, authentic Menorcan town which caters for every taste in both shopping and eating. From the main town you can wander through cobbled streets past the many historical houses and small castles, down to the harbour where you can enjoy the ambience of the local nautical scene and sample the Menorcan cuisine, at your leisure.
Hipermercado Diskont; approx 2 km from the house. Eating out is an important part of Menorquin life, and there is a wide selection of restaurants and eating-places to choose from.
We recommend the following: La Guitara or Cas Ferrer in Cuitadella, for authentic Menorquin cuisine. Cafe Balear in the port of Cuitadella, Pizzeria Aristano at the end of the port. Es Caliu Grill restaurant – very near the villa on the main road to Cala Blanca. For tapas try bar Triton in the harbour.

Since its construction in 1982 Torre Vila has been in the family for 2 generations and continuous renovations/improvements are being made whenever needed to make the house a more comfortable and enjoyable place to stay. The site itself goes back many centuries with some recorded signs of very early prehistoric activity. It also features one of the oldest watermills and irrigation systems on Menorca. I have been coming to Menorca for more than 40 years and can honestly say that during all those it has still managed to retain its original charm as unspoilt island with its beautiful beaches. I can recommend walking the beautifully restored Cami de Cavalls, which is the original horse track around the island.
