The Patara Prince Resort is set across the bay from Kalkan. Built into the hillside with direct access to the clear blue sea by the means of private bathing terraces which offer a degree of privacy and seclusion. The resort has a blue flag award.
Patara Beach, which is 15 minutes away by taxi, has 11 miles of unspoilt sand together with extensive Lycian ruins. There is also a small pebbly beach in Kalkan. The stunning Kaputas beach is a 10 minute taxi ride away.
Dalaman is the nearest airport, and is approximately 140km away with a transfer time of approximately 90 minutes by air conditioned minibus. This costs approximately £55 each way for 3 people. We can advise a number of tour companies in Kalkan who can provide an airport transfer service. Car hire is available in Kalkan and there are numerous tour companies arranging sightseeing trips. Dolmuses which are small local buses run from Kalkan to local towns and beaches etc, these are inexpensive.
Kalkan is just across the bay from Patara Prince Resort which is 10 minutes by water taxi , 5 minutes by taxi, or you can walk in about 20 minutes. There is a new footpath (traffic free)that leads straight into town with stunning views along the way.The nearest town is Kas which is about 35 minutes by taxi or Dolmus. Fethiye is the nearest large town and is about one hour away.
Kalkan has developed over the years from a small fishing village into an attractive and unspoilt harbour town which caters for holidaymakers who appreciate good food, individual shops and the friendly turkish atmosphere. There are a wide range of restaurants and bars catering for all tastes and pockets. However it does not attract large groups of single youngsters. Local planning laws prohibit the construction of large hotels so consequently the town remains unspoilt with attractive whitewashed houses, cobbled streets and alleyways leading down to the harbour. In the evening this area is pedestrianised. The harbour attracts small sailing craft including flotilla sailing groups, large ocean going luxury yachts and the local wooden gulets where day trips can be arranged. There are also a number of diving schools based in the harbour. Kalkan has a number of supermarkets and numerous small boutiques and local craft shops, including ceramics, silver and leatherware. On Thursdays there is a local market selling local crafts, spices, clothes and leatherware. There are 4 banks with ATM, a post office, a pharamacy and English speaking doctor. There are many tours that can be arranged with operators in the town, including ancient historic sites, white water rafting, jeep tours and paragliding. Patara Prince resort run their own gulet trip once a week.

Why Geoff Richards chose Kalkan
Having enjoyed holidays in Kalkan for a number of years we decided to purchase a holiday home. Whilst looking we fell in love with Patara Prince Resort due to the extensive facilities, unique architecture and beautiful landscaping with lush vegetation and abundant blossoms. Manzara Evi means Panorama House as the uninterrupted views across Kalkan Bay from our large terrace are wonderful.
What makes this villa unique
Patara Prince provides beautiful surroundings in a tranquil setting within a gated resort having the benefit of a choice of three swimming pools, tennis courts, a bar and restaurants, and direct access into the clear turquoise waters of Kalkan Bay. You can relax all day in the peaceful ambience and yet Kalkan town is only a 20 minute walk away for evenings in the family orientated restaurants, bars and boutiques.
