Kalamar Bay is a peaceful, picturesque village, just around the corner from Kalkan. It's a 5-minute walk from the villa to the sea and the popular Kalamar Beach Club, a blue-flag beach with sailing, scuba-diving, water-skiing and a lively restaurant overlooking the sea. For those seeking tranquility, there is also a beautiful, simple taverna just above the peaceful free beach. High House has a very spacious, open-plan living area with an infinity pool overlooking Kalamar Bay. The bedrooms all have air conditioning and ceiling fans and the house has central and pool heating for out-of-season use. Downstairs bedroom 6 can also be used as a study and has a built-in safe inside the wardrobe. There is cool, marble flooring throughout and outside there are beautiful, well-maintained gardens, spacious terraces and plenty of shaded places to relax around the pool.

High House - Delightful

From the moment we arrived we knew we were going to have a marvellous and relaxing holiday. We were well looked after by the agents and Suzanne was a lovely host. We felt very much at home and were very comfortable. The house is very well placed to walk down the hill to the sea. The kitchen is well equipped and we had splendid meals outside. Kalkan and the surrounding area is full of wonders too. Great food; fun shops and a market. I would return to High House tomorrow!! I truly felt as if I had had a proper restorative holiday and did all our family.

Stunning villa

What a rare and delightful surprise to find a villa that is even better in the flesh than you are expecting. Immaculate inside and out, with loads of room - even for two families with hulking teenagers. Great views, especially from the infinity pool. The perfect way to watch the sun set over Kalamar Bay. We would echo all the comments in the other reviews about the level of service from Korsan, local taxis etc. Day trips on Sunset Boats were a particulat highlight. This villa is a real find. It was the perfect base for a Kalkan holiday.

Fabulous Villa

We were very impressed by the stunning views across Kalamar Bay from the terrace and bedrooms. We particularly liked the spacious outdoor area with the variety of seating, and a good built-in BBQ. It was good to play table tennis then cool off in the lovely infinity pool. The villa was very well managed by Korsan and it was great to have water delivered for the cooler so no need to bring bottles back from the supermarket. We would highly recommend this villa. There was a great snorkelling area nearby. Although it is walkable to Kalkan centre we preferred to use the taxis. We had some great meals there, notably at The Olive Garden. Overall a wonderful holiday!

Fabulous Villa

We have just returned from 10 days in this wonderful villa....it lived up to all expectations and more! The views were stunning and it was lovely to be in a villa with such a high quality finish - so often villas don't live up to their billing but this certainly did. We were extremely impressed with the Korsan staff who manage the villa locally and appreciated the many services that they provided - pre arrival shopping; daily bread delivery; daily pool maintenance, gardening and rubbish collection; restocking of the large water bottles for the much needed water cooler; take away service from one of their two restaurants; provision of a delicious BBQ and a chef to cook and serve it; arrangement of a lovely day out with Sunset Boats and a discount in their excellent Fish Terrace restaurant! They really know the meaning of service and couldn't have done more to make our stay easy and trouble free. Whilst it's a bit of a trek to the centre of Kalkan in the full August heat, taxis are abundant and reasonably priced and very happy to collect with about 5 minutes notice.

We are a close family of 4, who dearly love our beautiful Turkish villa. Kalkan is a very special place for us and continues to hold our children's interest, even though they are now well into their teens. We try to spend most of the summer months in our Turkish home, but when we are not there we are happy to rent High House to people who will enjoy spending time in this special place. Eating, cooking and entertaining are important parts of our lives, so you will find the kitchen well-stocked and herbs and fruit can be found in the garden.

Why they chose this property

Kalkan is only 5 minutes (if that!) by taxi, or a comfortable 15-20 minute walk from Kalamar Bay. We chose this location away from the traffic and we love waking up to the sound of birdsong and going to sleep with the chorus of cicadas. An early riser can wander down the hill to the beach and enjoy a solitary swim before breakfast - the whole tranquil bay to yourself!

What makes this property unique

High House has a lovely, homely atmosphere. Guests have commented that it does not feel like a rental property. With simple, tasteful furniture and art, no clutter and beautiful, well-established gardens the villa feels instantly welcoming. High ceilings keep the rooms airy and we have made sure there are lots of lovely, relaxing places outside to escape from the direct sun. Ten adults (or a group of 12 including children) can live very comfortably here without having the feeling of all being on top of one another.
