Good location to gondola and all amenities, reasonably priced

  • 4 of 5

Overall we had a good holiday. Bansko is a lively ski town with plenty of options for family dining and also apres ski to suit all. Having said that skiing there isnt for the faint hearted...not because of the actual runs...but the skiers using them. We've skied in various european resorts and this was definitely the craziest. A lot of skiers and boarders on slopes that they shouldnt be and a lot of serious accidents. This wasnt helped by the fact there hadnt been a good snow in a few weeks though and higher slopes were quite churned up and icy. Also- be prepared to either queue for the gondola/free bus or pay for a private taxi every morning. Its worth invesigating the fast track pass for the gondola or seeing if you can negotiate transfer from your hotel or ski hire shop.

Our property was reasonably priced and in a very good location to both the gondola and nice restaurants: salt and pepper, log house and the bears. It's attached to Penguins restaurant which is a bit more anglicised but great for families (we brought our 5 year old).

The apartments have a gym and small pool open between 2-7pm daily. It's quite clean, nice for a dip after the slopes and nice to have without going to a hotel. Theres also a sauna- but this isnt set very hot. The pool was quite cold on a few days so this would have been nicer if it had been warm enough to contrast to the pool.

Our apartment was clean- just a few dust bunnies and grease on grill pan- nothing major. Heating was great - we were able to get stuff dried easily -however be warned the hotwater tank is small- you wont get a bath out for an adult out of it (we added quite a few kettles and saucepans of hot water) ...but our 5 year old managed bathtimes ok. Just make your showers quick. One downside is that you get 1 towel and 1 hand towel per guest for the full week with no laundry facilities. This was tough going with a family using the pool and shower daily. Given the tight baggage restrictions and amount of clothing needed for skiing, it would be nice if towels were changed at least once during a week long stay.

All in all, an interesting trip. Fortuna apartments great especially if you are on a budget. There were 2 adults and 1 child in our party so the apartment was spacious enough- 4 adults might have been cosy as one of the beds is a sofa bed in living room.

Go for this option if you want proximity to gondola, restaurants and ski hire shops at a reasonable price.

Fab apartment, close to everything you need!

  • 4 of 5

The apartment was situated close to all the bars, restaurants and the gondola station/ski hire shops. It was generally well equipped. few let downs-not enough linen for 4 people and we didn't know who to ask for more! Also there was no one to meet us to let us in or give the key too when we left, so some on my feet thinking was needed. Overall could have been better organised.

Great apartment in great location

  • 5 of 5

The property is in a great location with everything in easy walking distance.

The apartment is furnished to a high standard and contains everything you need for your stay in Bansko.

There are lots of bars and restaurants around the property and the bar adjoining to the property is excellent for food and drinks. On arrival the heating was on for us so the apartment was lovely , cozy and warm.

Great location, good price, nice apartment

  • 5 of 5

The location of the apartment is just great, could hardly be better. It's just around the corner from the gondola and near, or more precisely "within", the stores and restaurants area. Because of this I had to park my car in a nearby parking lot but it was right next to the building and it was cheap. The building has about 15 parking spaces and around 80 apartments which means there's no parking space in busy periods.

The apartment itself was very nice - large comfortable bedroom and a decent living room with a very good kitchen. The bed in the living room is smaller than a regular double bed, but we still found it comfortable enough for two adults, although not as good as the one in the bedroom. The apartment is very well equipped - it has everything you need, especially the kitchen which had everything we could think of.

WiFi was excellent. The signal was very strong and the speed was very good.

The water in the pool was hot and clean. There's also a steam bath (which was not working during our stay) and a sauna that we used often.

Fantastic opportunity to spend your winter holidays

  • 5 of 5

We have been several times in Bansko , but this stay was absolutely the best.

Location of the apartment is more than great , just a hundred meters from the Gondola. Nearby restaurants and bars

just a few steps away from the building. You must visit Penguine bar situated just next to the entrance, Amigo bar 20 meters away and The Bears just across the street. You may visit a plenty of national Bulgarian restaurants which are in max. 3-5 min.walk from the place.

Apartment itself was very clean and very well equipped with all you need for your stay. Responsible person for the apartments

Mrs. Zorka was very helpful with all informations you need , she also organized us a free parking under the building in the garage. Pool and sauna were at our resposal every day , also free of charge . Amazing !

We will surely come again at this apartment and will sincerely recommend it to all our friends and relatives.

Thanks Ray for letting us use your apartment and amazing easy correspondence with you about all questions we have

had before we went to Bansko, you are just a fantastic person, will be in touch again.
