Lovely property in quiet creek side location. Heating was on when we arrived which made it more welcoming on a November day. Milk and a bottle of wine was a great touch. Comfortable home from home experience. Amenities on the doorstep - shop & pub. We were a little unlucky with two storms barrelling in in short succession but the cottage was comfortable enough to stay in and relax in.
We absolutely loved Gweek and the house was very perfect.
Possibly not great for small children - our 2 year old needs to run wild in a garden and that is not possible. As gran and grandpa we’d definitely come again on our own
We loved our stay at Creekside. The house is tucked away up a quiet little lane, with glimpses of the river, and a great pub next door.
It’s a real home from home, with everything you need. And it doesn’t feel like a sterile holiday let, but more like staying with friends who’ve just popped out!
House ideally situated with pub and shop nearby. 20 minutes from trebah along some narrow roads! Nice open plan dining living room area.

About the host
Hosted by Fiona Fletcher
We live in a small fishing village on the Lizard Peninsula, South west Cornwall with our three young boys. Simon is a retired fisherman and I am a school teacher. We are a small, family owned and run business and we are delighted to say that many of our guests return again and again.
Why they chose this property
We fell in love with the character of the cottage, the beeatiful granite stone and old fireplace. The cottage has views of the river from the garden and the pub close by is fantastic.
What makes this property unique
Gweek is an ideal base for exploring Cornwall and a homely village to come back to with its riverside walks and friendly pub. The Cornish Seal Sanctuary is a few min walk away, see the seal pups being rehabilitated before their release back into the wild.
