Super one bed ground floor flat. Very large lounge/dining area with 50 inch Smart wall mounted tv. Separate fitted kitchen, modern bathroom with large shower. There is a walk-in wardrobe at the end of the hall. Separate double bedroom. This large apartment has a very spacious feel. There is a communal garden outside the front door. The apartment has it's own private entrance from Main Street into the garden.
The property is situated in a cul-du-sac, so there is not a lot of passing traffic.
Opposite the apartment is Ironmonger Row swimming pool. This went under a major refurbishment a few years ago. There is also a sauna, spa, gym and launderette here.
There are restaurants and supermarkets all within 5 minutes walking distance. Just around the corner is the super Fish Central restaurant - a real gem!
The trendy areas of Shoreditch, Spitalfields and Upper Street are just a 10 minute walk away.
Regents canal is easily accessible, and you can enjoy a coffee by the waterside.
The location is great, with all the London main attractions easily accessible via the tube and bus network on your doorstep. Stroll through the City of London and you can reach St Pauls Catherdral in one direction and The Tower of London in the other. Nothing is far away. With many restaurants, bars night clubs nearby, its the perfect location.

Beware before booking

Located right next to the Britannia, which could get very noisy at night. The owner also charged an additional 'fee' after we left for damages, which we did not caused. Be very very careful when booking.

Günstige Lage, Wohnung im Erdgeschoss

Die Wohnung ist im Erdgeschoss gelegen, mit von außen einsehbaren Fenstern. Das mindert die Qualität etwas, denn man fühlt sich sehr nah am Geschehen auf der Straße. Die Vorhänge sind sehr gut und dicht, es ist also möglich, die Fenster abzuschließen. Schutz durch Gitter ist ebenfalls vorhanden. Die Lage der Wohnung nahe Old Street ist sehr günstig, um Ziele im Zentum von London zu erreichen.

Klein und praktisch

Eine kleine Wohnung, perfekt um einige Tage in London zu verbringen. Die Küche ist relativ gut ausgestattet, Selbstversorgung aus dem M und S um die Ecke klappt sehr gut. Nur die Heizung ist etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig. Die Wegbeschreibung zur Wohnung ist sehr detailliert, auch die weiteren Infos der Vermieterin sind super.

Problem with heating system

We arrived around 11 pm on the coldest night of the year, after struggling in the darkness for 10 minutes with the outer gate and its tricky, hard-to-locate lock-box. Then we found there was no heat in the apartment: it was stone cold. There was nothing to do about it but bundle up for the night under all available covers. By afternoon of the next day we were able to sort out the radiators with the help of an engineer and multiple phone calls and other messages. It seems that the thermostat is connected to the boiler via a wi-fi connection, and the connection had gone dead. But why have such a fragile heating setup? There were other problems: the coffee caraffe split wide open on account of cracked glass, and there was no tea pot, though we are tea drinkers. The owners, to their credit, tried to be helpful and made a token refund for the initial lack of heat, but the overall picture is that the flat was not nearly as attractive as we had expected, while this was a booking that went badly for us from the start.

Great communication and stay

We had a small problem when we arrived due to a miscommunication and the owner was very quick and excellent to fix our problem and helped us in every way possible. The location was great. It was extremely spacious compared to what I thought by looking at the pictures so that was great! Everything you need is in the apartment.
