Bungalow in Longrock, near Penzance, Cornwall
About Jackie Budd
Nick and I purchased 3 Seaview as our family home on the sea in 2004. We loved standing on the balcony overlooking Mounts Bay and watching the world go by. Unfortunately due to work commitments we had to move to Bristol but couldn't part with Number 3. Since 2009 Little Rock has enjoyed welcoming guests from all over the world! We are particularily proud of the amount of return guests we receive each year which I hope shows our passion for providing a beautiful, comfortable holiday cottage in a stunning location.

Little Rock Cottage
Cosy, Comfy and clean cottage. Parking is ok but can be a bit difficult if you need to back out onto road. You can hear the sea, just a shame you can not see it from cottage.
Cosy and well-equipped
We had a great week in Little Rock. So much to see and do in the area - cliff walking, seal sanctuary, tin mine visit, the galleries in St Ives (walking art-tour of the town was good). Excellent local sea food in various restaurants, and Mexico Inn 1 minute walk from the cottage was friendly and welcoming with a delicious tapas menu the night we were there.
We cooked in the cottage several times - everything we needed in the kitchen.
It's a five minute walk around the corner and across a level crossing to the beach - we had gorgeous sunset views of St Michael's Mount (even in Feburary!). We very quickly got used to the (occasional) trains whizzing past. All in all a lovely place to stay.
Compact,clean and convenient.
Excellent location in a dog friendly environment. On the recommendation of a local lady discovered a beautiful dog friendly beach in Lelant which we will definitely be returning to!! Neighbours very friendly and plenty of amenities within easy reach.
Great property in good location
The property has been nicely modernised and had everything we required for the two of us plus our dog. Parking is a bit tight but manageable with care. Good pub just round the corner plus a convenience store, which was handy and two supermarkets just a short drive away. The dog friendly beach is just a few minutes walk away, although you have to cross a railway line and we regularly had to wait for trains to pass. Also there is occasional noise from passing trains at night time.
Nice walk along the front into Marazion, although we couldn't understand why the adjacent beach isn't dog friendly, as there was hardly anyone on it until you reach the Marazion carparks and main beach area near St Michaels Mount. Marazion itself is a really good holiday / tourist location with plenty to do and see..
The accommodation's location is also good for touring around Southern Cornwall. We day toured around both the Lizard & Lands End peninsulars, visited St Ives (using the train from St Erth for spectacular views), Falmouth for Pendennis Castle and the Seal Sanctuary at Gweek. Beachs and pub at Gunwalloe are also well worth a visit.
Overall made for a really good week before moving on to elsewhere in Cornwall - thanks!
Weeks family holiday in Little Rock
Little Rock is a very comfortable cottage, everything we needed was provided. The location was superb, with a short walk to the beach and the coastal path. Being able to walk to St Michael's Mount was a real bonus. There is a Post Office and local stores in Long Rock, and plenty of supermarkets a few minutes drive away. We did walk to Sainsbury's one morning along the coastal path to Penzance, it's a very easy walk and the cafe has superb views overlooking the bay. About a 15 minute drive away is Praa Sands, a lovely beach and good for body boarding. The Minack Theatre is worth a visit, as is Cape Cornwall (National Trust) and Sennen Cove (another beautiful beach).
We would most definitely recommend Little Rock.

Quality Accomodation in Great Location
Really pleased the moment we arrived (3adults & 1 small dog) gorgeous space and easy trot to pubs, restaurants, shops, local bus. In fact I did not use my car all week....just public transport. Very lucky to have found this gem. Thank you Jackie and team x
