Lavender Cottage and its adjoining Cottage ,Lilac, are 200 yards from our farmhouse home. Until the 1970's they were farm-workers cottages but have now been transformed into two comfortable holiday cottages. Each cottage has its own private garden with lawn, trees and shrubs, garden furniture and barbecues so you are able to relax at home in this peaceful area. The cottages are on the southern edge of the Cotswolds, facing south, 6 miles from the market town of Cirencester with its Roman history and 2.5 miles from Bibury, described by William Morris as the most beautiful village in England.

Lovely cottage, with great enclosed garden for dogs
We have stayed in the sister property about 4 years ago and found it very central for our needs. The property is a typical Cotswold cottage. It is well equipped but the Internet is a little outdated and ought to be upgraded. The cottage was clean and tidy with lots of amenities. Furniture is adequate albeit a little dated. Kitchen appliances were fine. Handy having a utility type room when staying with dogs as this is somewhere you can store dog related items and wash muddy dogs / footwear. Lounge is spacious, with a lovely log burner. Central heating is via storage radiators, which were perhaps a little dated and awkward to control temperature. Bedrooms very nice but as always the bed is never as comfy as your own, although did sleep very well.
Would highly recommend for dog owners.
Picturesque cottage with all you need
What a beautiful cottage in the middle of open countryside but not far from all the wonderful places in the Cotswolds. The cottage had everything we needed and more. It was just what we needed for our three night stay, a real home from home. Alfie our black Labrador loved the large fully enclosed garden.
So glad you had a great stay!
Quaint cottage in quiet location.
We enjoyed staying at Lavender cottage which is in a lovely quiet location and was ideal for all the places we wanted to visit. Owners nice and friendly and very accommodating without being intrusive. Nice comfortable beds to come back to after our long days out. Would definitely consider booking again next time we plan on visiting the Cotswolds.
One of the best holiday cottages we have stayed in
The cottage is lovely, it is very clean & nicely decorated & the furniture & furnishings are very good quality. There is a good sized back garden which is very private.
Super holiday cottage
We have been to this cottage before and we love it. Very well appointed and very friendly owners. Great enclosed garden for the dogs. Lovely and quiet and within easy reach of many of the Cotswold places to see and visit. We can thoroughly recommend the property and will try and visit again. I will even take my golf clubs next time and play at Cirencester GC which appears to be very friendly and inviting. The weather was very good to us as well. All in all, a great holiday.
Thank you for your great review. We look forward to seeing you again.
