'Saffron Nest' is a fresh, contemporary apartment set within an exclusive complex in Benaulim, South Goa which includes a very large pool (and kids pool) Set within a lush tropical garden. The stylish apartment is lovingly furnished with simply designed local hand made sycamore wood furniture, set within fresh white walls and with a fully equipped modern kitchen.

Sleeps 4 with 2 breezy bedrooms ensuite bathroom and four poster king size bed. Sofa bed in living room can accommodate an extra 2 guests.

Three balconies on the top floor offer fantastic views towards the beach and the lush paddy fields, so you can view both sunrise and sunsets.

Beautiful pool _ great location

This was our first visit to micon coastal paradise which has now become our favourite location in benaulim. The pool is beautiful and the location perfect The apartment is as described on the website and we look forward to returning soon. .

The apartment is in a perfect location for the beach, town and numerous shops and restaurants. Lovely quiet pool. Fantastic, well organised communication from the owners and the house manager, Myra.

Relaxing holiday

We have recently returned from a 3 week stay in Saffron Nest and are already planning for next year. We had a wonderful time and are hoping to return. Our favourite place was sitting on the balcony watching and photographing the wild wild life, with the French doors, front and back, wide open causing a through draught. We know the area very well, as we have been going to Benaulim since 2005 and found the accommodation to be the best we have stayed in. It’s well furnished and cupboards and drawers well stocked. Myra, the apartment manager and her daughter changed the bed linen and towels and cleaned as we requested and were very easy and nice to deal with. We would highly recommend this apartment.

A really comfortable apartment in a great location

We enjoyed our holiday enormously, as we always do, having stayed there quite a few times now. The apartment is well furnished and spacious, with two good sized bedrooms and two bathrooms. Each morning and evening, we sat on the balconies watching storks, herons, kites, kingfishers and a variety of other species all going about their business - a great way to start the day and an equally great way to see the sun go down. The apartment is on a gated estate with a central swimming pool area, all very well maintained. We particularly enjoy the fact that the estate is quiet and relaxed, with a friendly atmosphere. The shops and restaurants of Benaulim are just a short walk away and the beach is within easy reach. We’ve been going to Goa for a few years now and in this apartment we have found the ideal place to stay.

We are the Prabatani family: Amir and Kala both retired now and our son Shaff and daughter Shelina. Having lived in the UK most of our lives, we always dreamed of having a place in the sun. We fell in love with Goa and beautiful Benaulim and so decided to combine our resources buying a second family home which we also rent out to holiday makers such as you.

All of us have been heavily involved in working with the charity, public and NGO sector. We hope when you visit India that you take an interest in the rich culture and way of life there, as well as the plight of those less fortunate then ourselves.

When you visit Saffron Nest we really hope you enjoy our hospitality even though we can't be there to greet you in person!

Why they chose this property

We bought this apartment in Benaulim because we love this small village. It's the best of all worlds, far away from the crowds and the touristy hassles of the North Goan beaches it still has the charm and friendliness of a community by the sea. The Beach is stunning and always peaceful, the food shacks and restaurants offer delicious local sea food and the locals and fisherman remain friendly and warm to the fewer visitors to the area. Its also nearer enough to the buzzing town Margoa so you can always pop into town to get some home comforts or check out a Bollywood film.

The charming complex is also brand new, so not battered by countless Monsoons yet!! It has excellent security, and staff are always on hand to make sure the pool and facilities are always spotless and well cared for.

What makes this property unique

We wanted to furnish a place to our taste, contemporary yet Indian! not to be overly fussy, full of old world clutter and chintz. We also wanted the furnishing to be light and soft to provide our guests with home comforts and relax atmosphere to enjoy their stay at Saffron Nest.
If you are looking for a very affordable apartment that is fresh, clean, simply designed yet comfortable and equiped with every modern convenience then Saffron Nest will certainly stand out.

In addition we offer different artists the opportunity to curate a small exhibition that we display at the apartment. This year photographer 'Pinky Binks' displays mesmorising images and portraits of Indian life. You can purchase prints if you wish, in which a portion goes to our local charity for street children.
