beautiful villa in traditional, quirky village.

  • 5 of 5

After being a little apprehensive of being a newcomer to booking a property direct over the internet, I was absolutely blown -away by this property. We arrived very late at night, and in the dark, and we were pleased with the standard of the villa. However, it was only the following morning when we opened the doors and stepped outside that my husband said, '' Come and see what you've booked, it's beautiful! The gardens and grounds were gorgeous enough, but topped off with an amazing backdrop of the Ghost village and mountains beyond. The nicest swimming pool I have ever been in, beautifully warm, yet refreshing after a hot day in the sun.

Tommy was always on hand to answer any queries, and organised transport for us on the first morning to stock up with provisions at a local supermarket. his boat trip is a must!! A fantastic day out, great views, great swimming, great company and great food. Not to be missed!

The village itself is a gem! A tranquil, laid -back vibe, quite bohemian and artisan. There is a plethora of eating establishments to suit every pocket and taste, and the village bakery is to die for! All the local residents were welcoming and friendly.

I would recommend staying in Kaya with Tommy to anyone. we were so lucky. The villa would be suitable for anyone who enjoys a peaceful setting, good food, and a traditional setting. the local Dolmus is cheap, frequent and reliable, and can take you into Hisaronu in 10 mins if you want more touristy shopping, bars and restaurants. Great also for ATM's, supermarkets and Pharmacy.

The Dolmus is quick and easy to Fethiye for the Tuesday market and the beautiful covered shopping parades of the Old Town.

I would definitely book again, and hope to do so in the future.

A hidden gem

If you're looking for a peaceful relaxing holiday in a beautiful setting, this is definitely the place for you! A beautiful property in the heart of Kayakoy village, nicely decorated, very clean, comfortable and well equipped with everything you need. There is a lovely swimming pool literally on your doorstep with luxury sun loungers for a spot of sunbathing .. we spent many happy hours swimming and relaxing by the pool. The property is just a short walk to many lovely restaurants, local shops and of course the ghost village. The local dolmus service is very cheap and provides easy access to the main resorts of Hisaronu, Olu Deniz and Fethiye, also to nearby Gemiler beach if you fancy exploring surrounding areas. The property owners are a lovely family who live on site and are very helpful, always on hand if you need to know anything and nothing was too much trouble. They recommended a few nearby restaurants to try, all of which were well worth the visit and most of them offer a free pick up and drop off service so everyone can enjoy glass of wine or beer! We also had a brilliant day out on Captain Tommy's boat soaking up the sun and swimming off the boat at various bays nearby. I would definitely recommend staying here and hope to return again soon :)

JUST PERFECT

  • 5 of 5

Hello, just wanted to share this with anyone who's looking for a little piece of heaven.

On arrival blown away at the location, Kaya is a beautiful little village, if you have only visited for the day, you are missing out, there's so much more.

The Garden room is adequate for all your needs, very clean and tastefully decorated, extremely comfortable bed, there's everything you need for your perfect holiday, even down to little tea lights to place around the purpose made alcoves on the outside of the property, just for the old romantics out there.

The pool is fantastic, very clean, expensive loungers around the pool, makes a big difference from the plastic white ones.

Everything has been thoroughly thought out.

An abundance of organic vegetables are grown in the gardens, from avocados to tomatoes, they are there for you to pick as needed, great for the many BBQ s we had.

The family live at the rear of the property so if anything is needed you don't have far to go, they are very nice people and do not encroach on you privacy.

Little shops and bars are close by and within easy walking distance.

We hired a jeep and drove all over exploring the many wonders the Turquoise coast has to offer.

Not to mention the ghost village, well worth a wander up there.

We loved it and are going back 30/08/13.

Just perfect.
