*I'm afraid we don't acommodate children under 12 years of age in order to preserve the peace & quiet for our guests.
I grew up in Australia from the age of 3. These formative years I believe made me the person I am today. I have a need to be in wide open spaces & a great love of nature. After returning to England to finish my education & have a family...I then came to France...Paris. Having done a course in design, French painted furniture & decorative paint effects, I opened a workshop & gallery near to Paris & began giving courses teaching my methods to others. I later incorporated a quaint english style tea room & baked home made cakes & provided light lunches..all a great success.
Then, 22 years later whilst on holiday in this wonderful region, I decided this is where I wanted to live. After unforseen circumstances forced me to change my life, I returned to the Dordogne to find my dream. ..an old stone property with a view & outbuildings & in need of renoivation to put to use my design skills.....I found Le Manoir de Beauregard
Angela Meunier purchased this barn in 2010
I returned to the Dordogne with a mission... to find an authentic, period stone property with outbuildings to restore. Here I am..in paradise! The Manoir is in the very heart of the Dordogne & within easy reach of all it has to offer. Its Romanesque churches, medieval castles & villages, cave paintings & meandering rivers... an unrivalled jewel, it's history spanning from 500 000 BC.
The gardens & grounds of the Manoir are magnificent. There are secret paths to discover, woodland areas & cornfields. Close to Bergerac & St Emilion with their vineyards & renowned wines, we can organise a winetasting experience for you. A place for all ages...an escape for all seasons....Peacefull.. idyllic.
Please note... for the peace & quiet of our guests, we don't accept children under 12 years of age

We had a wonderful 2 weeks stay at in the barn in Le Manoir last year. We were made to feel extremely welcome by Angela. She has restored this beautiful barn to an extremely high standard - marble bathrooms, stunning colour schemes, comfortable beds. Our 2 girls - 3 years old and 7 years old - had an amazing time and made full use of the stunning pool and gardens. We loved our holiday so much that we are returning again this year and can't wait to go back to this beautiful place. Thank you Angela for making us feel so at home.
