Close to great restaurants, 5 min walk to gondola station or a 2 min ski down. 70km of great ski runs with much more off piste for the more adventurous. 25km of modern high capacity lifts. Also a great place to escape in the summer months with thermal outdoor pools and many outdoor pursuits at affordable prices. Bansko old town must be explored to be appreciated with its narrow cobbled streets and friendly locals.
My Husband and I first enjoyed skiing in Bansko in 2009. We loved it so much we decided to buy our own apartment there. The appeal of a great ski area, friendly locals and most importantly affordability whilst on holiday made Bansko very appealing. Since our purchase we have enjoyed not only some fantastic family ski holidays but we have now discovered how wonderful Bulgaria is in the summer months. We have 2 sons who also love Bulgaria.

Mountain Dream is a wonderful 4 star complex and includes without doubt the best swimming pool in Bansko. Having small boys we wanted ski in ski out accommodation, carrying skis is not part of the deal! We were wowed by the space of the apartment and the facilities the hotel offered. Bansko old town is also a really lovely town to explore, quaint old cobbled streets and wonderful taverns offering delicious food wherever you look. The most appealing thing about Bansko though is the price of things. Eating out for a family of four can be as little as £16 and rarely more than £30! Makes a real change to not feel like you are being ripped off like some other ski resort in Europe. Skiing in Bansko is wonderful and varied, with some great off piste skiing for the more adventurous

We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay in this apartment. Jill was incredibly helpful in organizing transfers and ski hire.The skiing was great and we enjoyed the bars and eateries which served excellent food at very reasonable prices. The apartment is spacious and well equipped. The woodburning fireplace is a marvel.The apartment lacks nothing. When we were too tired to cook ordering pizza delivered to the door was quick and easy- thoroughly recommended! J Smalley
A big thank you for the use of your apartment over the new year period. The apartment was warm cosy and spacious. We particularly enjoyed lighting the log fire each evening. The apartment was well equipped with linen and towels, cooking facilities and utensils. Being able to ski so close to the apartment was a real bonus, the kids made full use of the pool and wifi facilities at reception. It was well situated for the bars and restaurants and also the Gondola station. Thanks again we hope to return next year!Dave Moncrief

Sofia International Airport is a lovely modern airport and situated approx 2.5 hours drive away. Transfers are not expensive and there are several companies I can recommend. Car Hire is advisable in the Summer Months only.
The apartment is situated just off the Ski Road back to the Gondola Station. Walking to the Gondola takes approx 5 mins. Skiing down the ski road takes 2mins. It is a 20 min walk to the old town. 2 min walk to nearest restaurant. There are small supermarkets/bars/restaurants/ski hire etc all opposite the Gondola Station.
In the summer months it is a 5 min drive to the lovely Alpha Spa and Pool, a wonderful outdoor thermal heated pool complex with swim up bar and poolside restaurant.

We had such a great week staying at the apartment. On arrival, the place was very clean, tidy and welcoming. We arrived late at night but this wasn't a problem as picking our keys up from reception was very simple. The view from the lounge as we woke up the following morning was amazing, overlooking the gondola's going up the mountain. It made life so much easier to be able to walk a short distance the end of the hotel drive and ski to the gondola, saving time and effort in the mornings. The bustle of the restaurants and bars are only a short walk away with lots of great places to eat and drink. There's also a fantastic pool / spa on site which was perfect after a day on the slopes. Jill couldn't have been more accommodating, helping us with recommendations for transfers, ski hire and lift passes. We would love to come back and visit again, and would thoroughly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Bansko. S Linton
