House in St. Ives, Cornwall, England - Central But Quiet Romantic Town Centre Boutique Cottage,2 Minutes Level Stroll From Harbour &Beaches

A beautiful town centre 17th century stone cottage tucked away in a quiet cobbled street. Lovingly restored and completely refurbished in 2013 to an exceptionally high standard - the cottage has all the comforts of a bijoux boutique hotel with the freedom to do as you please! Cornish Cottage is a 2 minute level stroll to St Ives harbour, restaurants, cafes, galleries, shops and beaches. Steeped in history and full of original charm and character with wonky walls, a wood burning stove with cornish granite fire surround, granite coins, window seats and exposed beams. Parking space for one car. Underfloor heating and gas central heating. Delicious Cornish Cream Tea or surprise welcome pack awaits guests on arrival! We regret the cottage is not suitable for children. Sorry - no pets allowed.

About Mrs Ylenia Haase

I live in St Ives with my husband, and our two children aged 11 and 14. It is the most wonderful place in the world to live, love and holiday!

Mrs Ylenia Haase purchased this cottage in 2005

Why Mrs Ylenia Haase chose St Ives

Before Cornish Cottage came on the market it was always one of those properties that intrigued me. It was the type of place that every time you walked passed

you wished you could take a peek inside.

When it came on the market we couldn't wait

to view it and we both fell in love with it instantly.

It had so much character and was every bit the romantic quintessential cottage.

Steeped in history it is reputed to be the smallest and oldest house in St Ives!

We renovated and decorated the cottage in a contemporary style - careful to retain all its character features including a working open fireplace.

What makes this cottage unique

The cottage is a unique property in the very heart of St Ives. It is just two minutes level stroll to the harbour, shops and beaches and one minute to the Barbara Hepworth sculpture garden and Trewyn sub tropical gardens.

It has the huge advantage of the use of a parking space for our guests. If you have ever been to St Ives before you will know that this is a huge bonus!

Comfy, Cosy Cornish Cottage

  • 5 of 5

Simple, just did not want to go back to reality. The cottage was very comfortable and spotlessly clean and right in the middle of St Ives itself with access to all that St Ives offer.

I hope to return one day soon...........

Charming, impeccable, spotless, comfortable, practical, tasteful, cosy, romantic, very well furnished and equipped, fantastic location in heart of the town. *Very* impressed! The owners are lovely people too. We will seek out this cottage again on future visits to St Ives in a heartbeat. Top property for couples or lone travellers! Highly recommend.

Beautiful cottage to spend our honeymooon in!

  • 5 of 5

We booked this cottage for our honeymoon and it was just perfect. Beautifully decorated - every detail was thought about carefully. It is not the biggest of cottages but perfect for two people and every detail and storage saving idea been thought of. I loved the kitchen colours so much I took a picture so I can re-created it at home when I have a new kitchen! The bathroom is a really lovely space with a bath, shower and rain-shower. We couldn't have asked for a better location - right in the town centre opposite the Barbara Hepworth museum and literally a 1 minute walk from the shops. We used the bakeries just around the corner for morning coffee and croissants with the stable door open in the cottage - couldn't ask for more! We would definitely recommend this cottage and would definitely book it again.

Exactly what it said on the tin.

  • 5 of 5

Based on previous experiences, I don't take the description, I wait till I see it, feel it and touch it. We weren't disappointed. The location was ideal. The cottage was ideal for the wife and me. Ylenia and Paul were readily available with any problems or queries. Thank you both. It was one of the best beds we've slept in. Look forward to revisiting in the not too distant future.
