A beautiful town centre 17th century stone cottage tucked away in a quiet cobbled street. Lovingly restored and completely refurbished in 2013 to an exceptionally high standard - the cottage has all the comforts of a bijoux boutique hotel with the freedom to do as you please! Cornish Cottage is a 2 minute level stroll to St Ives harbour, restaurants, cafes, galleries, shops and beaches. Steeped in history and full of original charm and character with wonky walls, a wood burning stove with cornish granite fire surround, granite coins, window seats and exposed beams. Parking space for one car. Underfloor heating and gas central heating. Delicious Cornish Cream Tea or surprise welcome pack awaits guests on arrival! We regret the cottage is not suitable for children. Sorry - no pets allowed.

I live in St Ives with my husband, and our two children aged 11 and 14. It is the most wonderful place in the world to live, love and holiday!

Why Mrs Ylenia Haase chose St Ives area

Before Cornish Cottage came on the market it was always one of those properties that intrigued me. It was the type of place that every time you walked passed

you wished you could take a peek inside.

When it came on the market we couldn't wait

to view it and we both fell in love with it instantly.

It had so much character and was every bit the romantic quintessential cottage.

Steeped in history it is reputed to be the smallest and oldest house in St Ives!

We renovated and decorated the cottage in a contemporary style - careful to retain all its character features including a working open fireplace.

What makes this cottage unique

The cottage is a unique property in the very heart of St Ives. It is just two minutes level stroll to the harbour, shops and beaches and one minute to the Barbara Hepworth sculpture garden and Trewyn sub tropical gardens.

It has the huge advantage of the use of a parking space for our guests. If you have ever been to St Ives before you will know that this is a huge bonus!

Notes on accommodation: Bed linen included. Unfortunately not suitable for babies and children. Tariff includes electricity and central heating. October - April a starter pack of fuel for the wood burning stove is provided. There after logs available on request at cost of £6 per bag. Sorry no pets. Strictly non smoking. Check in 3pm on day of arrival and check out by 10am on day of departure. Outside: There is a small outside area for guests use. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Luxurious white Egyptian cotton 800 thread count bed linen and fluffy white bath towels included in the hire. Bed linen is changed on a weekly basis. Other: There is a small library of classic novels and Cornish tales for our guests to read during their stay. We live and work just around the corner from the cottage so we're always on hand if you need us....

Great stay and great weather

My wife and stayed in late May. great cottage, perfect for two. The cottage was spotless with all we needed. The cottage is located right in the middle of the most picturesque part of St Ives. Eat out most nights, all the restaurants we visited were within a few hundered yards !

Parking in St Ives is difficult but the owner made her own parking space available outside her house which is close by. The internet connection is fast and worked first time and continued to do so.

All in a great cottage which we would recommend.

Charming cottage in great location just around the corner to resturants pubs etc cottage is small but very beautifully decorated and with great style as there is a wood burner pity there was not enough wood etc to use properly

The cottage was gorgeous - really cosy and furnished beautifully!

We had a lovely long weekend - the cottage was perfectly located so we could leave the car parked up and just potter round town all weekend. The galleries are so lovely, and all the beaches have different things to offer. Our favourite drink spot was the Rum and Crab Shack! Then a short walk back to the cottage for supper and a cosy evening and a good night's sleep in the very comfy bed! The perfect weekend, thank you!

Beautiful cottage but very noisy

My husband and I stayed here for just under a week. It's a beautiful little cottage, well decorated and fully equipped with everything you could ever need.

The location is central to St Ives which is also a bonus. However at the back of the cottage is a pub and early every morning they have a delivery of kegs. The 'clung' of metal at 7am everyday was unbearable. The cottage only has single glazing so every time someone walks by you can hear exactly what they are saying, day or night, and as it on one of the tourist roads this is quite frequent. We were also disturbed by the frequent use of the wheelie bins to the side of the cottage, which again created so much noise during the day through into the night.
