Rosemary Cottage enjoys spectacular sea views, and sits amidst National Trust land, at the edge of the small village of Mortehoe, Woolacombe, with its 3 pubs, post office, village store and Church. The cottage faces South, and the views can be enjoyed from the majority of rooms. There are 2 parking spaces, leading to a gravelled path, and a small garden.
Three steps lead to the front door. Once inside,the rooms are bright and light, and the decor is to match. The sitting room has two windows, on to the great sea views, and one of the aspects can be enjoyed from the window seat. The very well fitted kitchen, with Nobel cooker,leads through to a pretty "bistro-style" dining room. Usefully, there is a good sized old fashioned hatch between the two rooms. A french window leads to a cobbled area to the rear, and a cloakroom, Upstairs are two double bedrooms, en suite with SUPER NEW ROLL TOP BATH (one of the bedrooms can be made up as twins) a single, a shower room with loo and basin, both upstairs, giving 2 good facilities, and a fantastic roof terrace, and again those amazing sea views! firstname.lastname@example.org
We bought this small but perfectly formed cottage in 2003. We fell in love with it and the location being within National Trust land , having amazing views to the sea, and also several beaches very close by. Added to this, the village of Mortehoe is so friendly and delightful, AND has 3 pubs within very close walking distance! We also fell in love with north Devon as a whole. Hugh.email@example.com

The cottage is perfectly postioned, still within the lovely village of Morthoe, but close enough to Wollacombe beach to make it walkable (for the fit!). The cottage is much larger than it appears in the photos and nicely furnished. The beds are comfortable, with clean, good quality linen provided. The kitchen/ diner is a great size for everyone to congregate, eat and enjoy the warmth from the Aga style range cooker. Which, by the way, is such a bonus to find in a rental property. The views are genuinely amazing, we wore ourselves out taking photos of the sunsets and the sea. I spent lots of time just sitting in the bay window looking out to sea.
The owners are really helpful and friendly, and dealt with requests promptly and efficiently.
We have booked our next stay there already!
Our second wonderful holiday in this lovely, well equipped homely cottage, with great views, lots of interesting walks on the doorstep and within 200 yards of The Chichester Arms pub. We are looking forward to spending another holiday there in the near future!

Woolacombe beach, very close by, is an award winning beach. There are several others including Grunta, (you can almost see it from the windows of the cottage!) Barricane, Rockham.
Car is recommended
Rosemary Cottage is at the very edge of Mortehoe, and everything in the village is well within walking distance. Woolacombe is just down the road. Braunton is 20 minutes, Barnstaple 30 minutes., Ilfracombe 15 minutes, and Lundy Island is a few hours by boat!
There is a local shop in Mortehoe selling many essentials, and also a Post Office, which doubles as a newsagent, For supermarkets, please go to Ilfracombe or Braunton
