About the property

Lochside holiday home in Pitlochry, Scotland

The Lodge is supplied with a gas bbq for al fresco meals in the summer. Whilst relaxing at the house, keep an eye out for the local wildlife - red squirrels, osprey, deer and many other birds and animals. We have a lockable shed where you can store your bikes or other outdoor sporting equipment during your stay.

We have castles, stately homes, stunning views, water sports, national parks and culture all around us - with no need to travel far at all. For those who wish to explore Scotland, you will find that Pitlochry is the perfect base - a small highland town but all the major cities and the east and west coasts are within a 1.5 to 2.5 hours drive.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Very clean, spacious property in beautiful location. Plenty of space for parking several cars if needed. Superb views of the loch. We saw a pheasant walking along the patio wall, many varieties of birds and a red squirrel eating nuts from the bird feeder.

Tips for other travellers

Blair Castle is well worth a visit.

We had a lovely visit to the Cairngorms and went up the funicular railway to the Ptarmigan Restaurant where the views were spectacular and there was plenty of snow.

We had a lovely meal at The Green Park Hotel next door to The Lodge on our last night.

Luxurous lodge with spectacular views over Loch Faskally and plenty of wildlife visiting every day

  • 5 of 5

Roomy and very comfortable accommodation with spectacular views over Loch Faskally, very close to all the amenities of Pitlochry, well looked after by the owners. Thoroughly enjoyable stay, lovely walks nearby for the dog and he was welcome in many of the restaurants and shops in town

This was the perfect cottage for us. Six of us staying plus dog. The cottage was clean on our arrival. Well equipped. The views over loch faskally were spectacular even when it was misty and raining. On the days that the sun was shining we had meals sitting out on the patio staring at the view. We were all very comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed our time in Pitlochry and the lodge. Sad to leave.

What a Place to be!

  • 5 of 5

We loved the location, the short walking distance to the town with its great choice of restaurants and the nearness e.g. to the Lochs Tummel and Rannoch. This is one gateway to the highlands which offers all sorts of advantages on top of anything you could hope for. We visited the Highland Games at Blair Castle, drove down to Scone Palace and relaxed on the terrace admiring the beautiful view.

The house is extremely well-equipped. The kitchen has just about everything you could need. The fresh flowers to welcome us, the decoration, bed linen and towels show how much thought and care have been put into making the house homely and comfortable. The attention to detail is obvious.

We would definitely recommend this bungalow and also go back again ourselves. Thank you Susan for making it such a lovely holiday home.

A lodge with a view!

  • 5 of 5

This was our 1st time holidaying in Scotland, and we wanted somewhere that was accessible for us to the explore the region. We was not disappointed at all, this bungalow is located very well to major road and even a train station. The view from the open plan living room was to die for! Even from the master bedroom one is not disappointed, I for one could have just stayed in the lodge staring at the scenery and wild life all day. The owners have gone to great lengths in providing every thing one needs it was like home from home. The welcome pack is a great idea and a really lovely touch, the wine was very nice on our 1st night and it was my favourite! Thanks Susan.....a good New Zealand sav blanc 😁👌

We can recommend this very clean, nicely decorated, very comfy accommodation.
