A home away from home
April cottage is a home away from home. The rooms are light and airy, comfortably furnished and tastefully decorated. Although the kitchen is small it is quite adequate and there is more than enough equipment provided. The owners have obviously gone to great lengths to anticipate and cover every possible need. The bathroom is modern; the shower is compact but works well. The master bedroom is large and storage space is ample. The view from its single window is simply stunning. For international travellers like us with a lot of heavy luggage, the steep stone steps that lead down to the narrow path running across the front of the five cottages can present a bit of a challenge. However, once done, the arrival at the front terrace, which enjoys spectacular views over the Fal estuary and the far side of the river, makes it all worthwhile. We enjoyed sitting out there for breakfast and evening drinks as often as we could. Although there is no designated car space for the cottage, we never had a problem finding one in the roads nearby. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay and our only complaint is that we wish it could have been longer.

Fabulous view, close to town, lovely cosy cottage
Wonderful spot - 5 mins walk into town. Great view. Very cosy and homely. Extra touches like air freshener and soap and an umbrella make a difference. Parking was ok - always found a spot but did need to walk a bit sometimes. Would definitely recommend and would like to come back here in the summer.

Lucky days

We Live in Bristol, and are now retired, and like most retirees, we seem to be more busy, in retirement, than we were at work!!
We bought April cottage in 2007, as a fully refurbished, and modernised property. The cottage was just the place we were looking for, close to the town centre, with stunning views, and peace and quiet.
Debbie and I have been renting the cottage out since we purchased it, and have been upgrading/refurbishing it ever since. Our 5 star rating, hopefully reflects the work we put in, to ensure that you will have a wonderful holiday.

Why they chose this property

You will find, that April cottage is ideally located for all that Falmouth has to offer. Events square, is just 15/20 minutes walk, with the rest of Falmouth's shops, restaurants, pubs and other amenities, within that distance. The Prince of Wales quay, is just a 5 minute walk in to town, with ferries to Flushing ( walks to Mylor harbour) St Mawes, Truro, and the Helford river. Depending on the time of year, most of the peninsular is within a 1/2 hr to 1 hr drive. trains are available from Falmouth to Truro, and onward to St Ives and Carbis bay. The internet is full of places to go, and things to do, in the region.
The cottage itself, has a wonderful aspect, completely off the main road, with private access to just 5 cottages. The cottage enjoys outstanding views of Falmouth harbour, Carrick Roads , Flushing, and the Roseland Peninsular.

What makes this property unique

quiet location, close to all Falmouth's amenities, Private terrace for relaxing, and enjoying the views, and in Summer the events going on in and around the harbour;
