The bungalows have a traditional feel to it with all the modern facilities you would wish to find in a holiday home. The position of the villa gives you the advantage of all day sunshine from the time it appears from behind the mountain which provides you with a stunning backdrop until the late evening when you can enjoy the wonderful sunset from the poolside. With such wonderful views in every direction it is hard to drag yourself away from the villa, but for those who wish to explore the island the villa offers the best base as you are very central to everywhere in Kefalonia. The beach is a short distance away and is the perfect one for families as it is sandy and the sea very gently shelves. Within walking distance there is a well stocked mini market and a couple of locally family run tavernas.
I am English and first came to Kefalonia working for Thomson Holidays in 1999 met my husband that summer, who is from the island, and we had our big fat Greek wedding in 2005. We live on site and have 2 children, Katerina and Leo. We are on hand to answer any questions you may have and to guide you to be sure to get the best out of your holiday. Of course though, we are really in the background but its nice to know we are here if needed.
Amanda Hopkins purchased this bungalow in 2006
My husband and his brother brought the land in 1999 and were attracted to it because of its great location and the natural slope which would ensure the best views for all. We all loved it as it so accessible to the best amenities the island offers, but is tucked away so that you have no passing traffic and can enjoy the views peacefully. The views from here give you a taste of all that Kefalonia has to offer, the clear blue Ionian Sea, the lush green countryside all year round and the dramatic backdrop of the islands national park, Mount Aenos.
We have made our villas as close to home from home, and with 12 years experience of working for a large Tour Operator, we ensure that there are more than 4 forks or plates or cups when there are 4 people staying! You will also find plenty of storage space for your clothes, and of course the convenience of a dishwasher and washing machine so you can travel home with clean clothes too!
Its great that you can walk to good local tavernas, so there is always the worry of not drinking as you are driving. Also the local butchers supply fabulous meat for a BBQ as do local tavernas offer take away service from their menus, so you can stay at home and enjoy the best views from the comfort of the villa. Of course, in between courses you can cool off with a dip in the pool.
