My name is Karen, I fell in love with Skopelos when I first came to the island for holidays. I have had a long history with the island, returned many times over the years and made good friends. Purchased the land when there were no other villas in the surrounding area. After a few years I moved to Athens where we still reside. My husband who is an Executive Italian Chef, myself a teacher and our son. When we built our villa it was a dream for family and friends to escape to. We have spent many memorable times at the villa enjoying the beauty of Skopelos and strengthening our ties with friends. We decided to rent the villa with the idea of sharing all the wonderful experiences Skopelos has to offer. I look forward to meeting you at the harbor and showing you around the villa. We stay near by the villa and over see the property, we are their for all our guests for anything you may need.

What makes this villa unique

The unique position of the villa which is situated right off the tarmac road down a stone walled private drive leaves nothing for surprise, no long dirt roads or steep paved inclines to enter or exit from the villa. Set down in an area of 1.5 square meters of land, it truly is your own private hideaway. Olive fields and forested land extend to the right and left and below our land ensuring seclusion. The panoramic views of the sea and distant islands, picturesque village of Glossa and hillsides are what made me choose the name for our villa. Tranquillity at its best but just a short distance from all amenities and beaches.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Robert and Emmanuella [France] We have had a great two weeks in your villa and we will remember the stunning sunsets, the panoramic breakfasts and the fun in the pool. We have fallen under the charm of the villa and the island of Skopelos.

Diane and Fred Howell[UK] It has been a wonderful 3 weeks, the villa is so pretty and the views quite stupendous! When we first walked out of the house onto the terrace, it took our breath away! The silver sparkle on the flat calm sea to shades of blue of the islands-all followed by the sunsets! We have felt very lucky.

Neil and Catherine Edwards [UK] We have little to add to the comments of your earlier guests. The villa is situated in a most wonderful location for views and sunsets, the terraces and the pool are unrivalled facilities. We have really enjoyed our stay.

Jane and David Saddleworth [UK] We have stayed in lots of villas in many different countries, this has to be one of the best. The views are unsurpassed. So peaceful and relaxing.

Comfortable villa in the most beautiful part of Skopelos

  • 5 of 5

We loved this villa for its location, tucked into the hillside with amazing views across to Skiathos and for the kind hospitality of its owner Karen. Villa View feels private and surrounded by countryside yet is close to the unspoiled town of Glossa and within reach of the most beautiful and quiet countryside and beaches of Skopelos to the north and immediate southwest.

The lovely pool is an added bonus, along with lower and upper terraces to survey the surrounding sea, landscape and sunsets.

Everything inside is in good shape - nice beds and linen, not to mention numerous towels, for bath, pool and beach, allowing for minimal packing - and when it rained throughout our last day we appreciated the comfortable sofa, light and warm interiors.

Highly recommended!

Everything as expected

  • 5 of 5

Villa view is a lovely property, with splendid views and a lovely pool. Peace and quiet are very important to us, and whilst the villa is close to the main road, we were never disturbed by road noise, not even the ubiquitous greek motorcycles! The pool is delightful and totally private. We didn't want to hire a car and this did not prevent us from getting around as there is a bus service which takes you to the major beaches and to Skopolos town. Glossa is within walking distance, although the walk is on the main road so you need your wits and ears about you! Taxis are also easy to book and if you don't feel like the walk back from Glossa after a lovely meal in a taverna, then a taxi from Glossa is about 5 euros, (10 from Loutraki port). Karen was very helpful, and full of useful information. If you plan to visit Skopolos then seriously consider Villa View. We will certainly return. Thanks for everything Karen.

Authentic atmosphere and a view to die for

  • 5 of 5

The pictures dont lie.. this place is for real ;-)

We were back to Skopelos after 25 years, with our two kids ( 14,16).

The "villa view" is as good an accomodation as you can get and we enjoyed every minute of our 21 day long stay in the Villa.

The villa is very well arranged both inside and outside.

There is air conditioning in every bedroom and there is plenty of space for 5 people and you dont have to look for any utensils or equipment... there are all there. The Villa View is fantastic situated, with god views toward the town Glossa and the ocean. You get the sundown in first parket every night.

The pool area and pool size is one of the finest on the hole island and one of the reasons we choose this particular villa. Is was important for us to be able to svim every morning. The short distance to Glossa ( with shops and restaurants ) was also important and the view from the large and well furnished terrace was certainly to die for ...

We rented a car for 3 weeks and we will advice others to do so. We went to the beaches every day, and for that you need transportation. Our favorite beach was "Perivoliou" at the north side of the island...It is tranquille and with a very special ambience and the water is more clean ( no release from restaurants and buildings sewer systems ) the food truck there made a good greek salad and souvflaki and a brilliant espresso ;-) and the delivery all the way down to the beach for free ;-)

We loved the sea food restaurant at the beach in Agnodas. and we loved the "hidden garden" restaurant in Skopelos town. " Perivoli"

We would recommend the place with all our hearts and the owner " Karen Fava" is very helpful and accommodating. If you e-mail her, she will get back to right away and help ypu with anything from reserving ferrytickets og giving advise om where to go..

Happy holidays!

Regards from The Lohmann Family from Denmark.

Owner's Response: Thank you for choosing my villa. I meet all my guests at the port and show them into the villa, I like to return in a day or so to visit and give tips on the best beaches and restaurants to go to. I stay a short distance away from the villa and can be there for anything my guests may need. email is the best way to communicate. I enjoyed meeting you and your family and I look forward to having you stay at the villa again. karen

A beautiful and versatile property in fantastic surroundings.

  • 5 of 5

Villa View really is a beautiful and versatile property in fantastic surroundings.

The private and secluded pool area was perfect for lounging around under the hot sun with only the cicadas for company. Breakfast from the local bakery was enjoyed on the main terrace as were evening meals and card games in front of a slowly evolving sunset. Afternoon coffee on the front porch and stargazing from the top terrace all made our holiday in the villa extra special.

A car is essential and Karen organised for it to be there at the port when we arrived. We chose a small 4x4 Suzuki which enabled us to get to some of the more remote beaches on the island. The town of Glossa is nearby but not walking distance for us, especially at night on the windy road. We took the car and had no problem parking etc. We had a fantastic holiday and would have no hesitation recommending Villa View and Skopelos as a perfect holiday destination.

Another fabulous holiday at Villa View

  • 5 of 5

We love this villa; it is so homely and you feel immediately comfortable when you arrive. We love the fact that it is furnished in traditional Greek style and the private pool is such a luxury. The villa is clean and well maintained; the gardens are full of lovely flowers which attract many butterflies.

The small town of Glossa is within walking distance and gives a real view of Greek day to day life. There are enough tavernas in Glossa and Loutraki (Agnanti and Aramis are particularly good)so that you can eat out every night but we enjoyed preparing our own meals too and enjoying long mealtimes on the terrace watching the sun go down. The upstairs terrace is wonderful for watching the sunset with a glass of wine.

Karen has thought of everything you would need to make your holiday as relaxing as possible right down to the provision of parasol, cool bag and beach towels for your days out. Karen is on hand to help with things like ferry times, car hire and lots of great advice about the best beaches and places to eat.

We love this house and will be back again. We would recommend it to friends without hesitation.

If you are wanting a totally relaxing holiday without all the trouristy trappings, this is the place for you. Skopelos town is also easily accessible and has many restaurants and lovely shops to browse.
