About Robin Garms
I am a graphic designer living and working in London, but when I retire [aged 80 perhaps if I'm lucky] I will definitely be going up to Norfolk to sit under a tree in the garden of Grove House with my dog.
Robin Garms purchased this House in 2005
Why Robin Garms chose King's Lynn
We fell in love with the house when we first glimpsed it through the trees as we came up the drive
What makes this House unique
The quiet, the huge garden, the trees, the beautiful architecture, the swimming pool when the weather is sunny
Pool / Spa
Second time around
This was our second holiday at Grove House as we came last year too!
We were a family group of mixed ages and again really enjoyed our stay. The weather was glorious so spent most of the time outside in the wonderful grounds & pool. We did venture out though to Wells, Holkham beach, Thetford & Norwich! Lovely relaxed family holiday yet again!
Lovely big house - fun for all the family
The house is wonderfully big - 5 bedrooms of a good size. The bedroom I stayed in had a fantastic triple-wide bed which was great for my 2 year old who sleeps in the same bed as me as he could wriggle around without disturbing me. the beds were all really comfortable and I slept really well - better than I have since coming home in fact! The pool is a godsend in the hot weather - it was lovely to swim whenever we wanted. There is also a great trampoline set into the ground - which the kids loved. The gardens are great and enclosed - we did a mini treasure hunt in them. The house has two large sitting rooms, which my son called the movie room and the TV room! And there are four different tables you can sit and eat at big enough for everyone! If you want to venture out, there's not much nearby but we went to the Lavender farm which is about 40 mins away which has a soft play and animal park and Hunstanton beach - about 50 mins away. And the best day was at Roarr! a dinosaur adventure park near Norwich - well worth a day trip out. There's a lovely restaurant nearby called Biltons Eating House which was amazing if you want a special meal. Recommend the lobster. All in all - a great holiday - thanks x
Thanks Heather, I'm so glad you enjoyed staying at Grove House. Please come and stay again soon. Robin
We had a great time here for my 60th birthday and catered for 20 people in the garden ( the weather was on our side). Everybody agreed it is an amazing space.
It is very peaceful with lots of birdlife and the pool was occupied from early morning to sunset.
This place is amazing, very comfortable and we had plenty of room for us all, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the heated pool was the icing on the cake. I now trying to decide on the next family celebration to justify booking it again.
A family Christmas
We had a most enjoyable and relaxing week as a whole family for Christmas.
House and grounds are beautiful with a 'tired' charm! Robin was very helpful, replied quickly to queries. We were 10 adults and 5 babies. Perfect get away. Wish we had stayed longer!
