Cottage in West Meon, Nr. Petersfield, Hampshire, England - Quiet Location On The Edge Of A Working Farm
About Victoria Cobden
Westbury Manor Stables are owned by Simon and Victoria Cobden. They live a couple of hundred yards from the Stables so are available to answer any queries you may have whilst you are on holiday. Simon is a farmer whilst Victoria helps on the farm and looks after their two children and The Stables
Victoria Cobden purchased this Cottage in 1970
Why Victoria Cobden chose West Meon
Westbury Manor Farm was bought by Mr and Mrs Cobden snr in 1973 and the family have lived there ever since. The Stables are owned by their eldest son Simon and his wife Victoria - they were converted from stables to a luxury holiday cottage in 2012. It is lovely to live on a farm in a rural setting but also have all the amenities you could possibly need just a few miles away.
What makes this Cottage unique
The Stables are on the edge of a working farm and whilst guests must be aware farms can be dangerous places due to tractors and machinery, there is the opportunity to see newborn lambs and calves at certain times of the year. Lovely walking area within the South Downs National Park. The Stables have been converted to a luxury standard but retain the character of the Victorian building

The cottage is cozy and beautiful. Victoria left fresh eggs and milk and sausages for our arrival, which was great and much appreciated. The family chatted with us and answered questions, and Victoria made brownies for us. The kitchen was well equipped, and the bathroom was spacious. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay
Lovely cottage in a beautiful location
Victoria was very helpful before and during our stay. The welcome package including delicious cake was a very nice touch. The cottage is perfect and exactly what 4 friends from London having a wknd away in the countryside wanted. It is clean, spacious yet cozy, well equipped and best of all dog friendly. My little puppy loved it and loved meeting the animals on the farm. Great location, we had some nice walks and pub lunches and had a lovely afternoon at the village fete. Definitely plan to return. Thank you.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Perfectly located to visit all our family and friends. We especially enjoyed visiting with the farm animals every day.
Lovely weekend break
A great place for us with the kids and dog to explore the South downs.
Lovely local pub within walking distance and a small shop and butcher. When we arrived there was bread, milk and eggs provided.
Would stay again 😀
Lovely people, lovely place
We had a wonderful stay. The kids loved it and the owners couldn't have been nicer. I'd highly recommend this place.
Lovely stay in the South Downs
We had a lovely stay in West Meon with Victoria. A peaceful place in restored stables. Lots of space for the family with good kitchen facilities. Such a nice surprise to see a welcome hamper, which also led us to make further purchases from the local butcher. Thank you for making us so welcome.
Thank you Jody - hope you had a safe trip home 😊
