Monkstone is a modern pinelodge, with a fresh and contemporary washed pine interior. The large, full length picture windows offer light, spacious open plan living, and patio doors open onto a secure, generous decking area, complete with your own private hot tub. Relaxing in the hot tub, listening to the sea, is magical both on balmy summer evenings and cold starlit nights!
Monkstone lodge is solidly built, well furnished and equipped. It is cool and airy in summer and and the full central heating ensures it is warm and cosy in off-season weeks. It is extremely comfortable and has a second flat screen television in the master bedroom.
Pembrokeshire has been voted the 'Second Best Coastal Destination in the World' and in the heart of it, situated right on the coast, is the award winning Swallow Tree Holiday Park. The Park is small, family run and beautifully landscaped, with delightful sea views. It is a winner of many commendations including 'Best Park in Pembrokeshire' and the David Bellamy Gold Award for Conservation. The park has excellent indoor leisure facilities including a heated pool, sauna, steam room, fitness room and beauty treatments. The Pembrokeshire National Park Coastal Path borders the Park and within minutes you can enjoy the stunning scenery and birdlife it can offer.
A sloping woodland path leads directly from the park to Swallow Tree Bay. When the tide is high this is a secluded, sheltered pebble cove, known for its mackerel fishing. At low tide it is a wide sandy bay and Saundersfoot Harbour is a pleasant 15 minute walk away. In the other direction Monkstone Beach, a beautiful uncommercialised gem of a beach, is accessible from the beach at low tide, and via the Coast Path when the tide is full.
Glen Beach has brilliant rock pools at low tide, when it is an easy walk along the beach from Swallow Tree Bay. At high tide it is a few minutes drive from the Park. Saundersfoot main beach is a sandy, Blue Flag beach and is just a mile or so away. Boats leave the busy harbour regularly for mackerel fishing or seal watching trips. Saundersfoot also offers small supermarkets, a chemist, cash point, pubs, restaurants, gift and surf shops.
Swallow Tree offers exceptional accommodation, including luxurious three bedroom Pine Lodges and Swallow Tree House, all with private hot tubs.
Please note, the path to the beach is sloping and not really suitable for pushchairs or visitors with mobility problems. Car recommended.
