The Barn at Ivy House Farm offers up to 6 of you, warm, contemporary, self-catering holiday accommodation and the perfect base for a relaxing break or an activity-based holiday.

The Barn is situated down a quiet no-through road in the village of Warslow, in the Staffordshire Moorlands at the southern end of the Peak District National Park, close to Alstonefield and Hartington.

The area is criss-crossed with public footpaths, ranging from some suitable for hardy, all-weather, all-terrain ramblers, to those suitable for a stroll with a buggy.

If you're more inclined to travel on two wheels, the Manifold Cycle Track is within one mile of the holiday cottage and the Tissington Trail and Parsley Hay are within easy reach by car.

Chatsworth House, Alton Towers, Haddon Hall, Carsington Water, Cheddleton Steam Railway, Rudyard Lake and Tittesworth Reservoir are all worth a visit and Manchester city centre with it's vibrant shopping is less than an hour away.

What makes this barn unique

Quiet and peaceful except for the occasional (quite often to be honest!) owl hooting. Great skies for watching stars with NO light pollution. Easy access to some fabulous attractions. A fabulous space to socialize with friends and family. Gorgeous walks or cycle rides from the doorstep.

Lovely and relaxing property, very well converted to a high spec. Having three bathrooms is a real plus as is the very well equipped kitchen.

Fab accommodation, the cottage exceeded all our our expectations. We could not recommend enough, great location and a pub within walking distance. We will be back!

We had a lovely weekend break. The accommodation exceeded our expectations. Although it was frosty weather the barn was toasty and snug, thanks to a wood burning stove. The bedrooms were spacious and having 3 bathrooms was great for five women! The barn was finished to a high standard.

Property cleaned and changed weekly.

Property is well equipped, in a peaceful location. Owners are friendly and on hand in an adjacent property if you need anything or advice about the local area. Would definitely stay again.

fantastic accommodation fantastic location fantastic hosts

family get together to celebrate my wife's birthday

we had a great week at The Barn very comfortable and cosy even when sub zero outside

handy for local walks and nearby picturesque villages

couple of interesting visits to Leek

Very well appointed barn and great for toddlers

Very well appointed converted barn. Open plan top floor fantastic for toddler and crawling baby with the stair gate (also they both loved the toy and book selection!). Kitchen had everything we needed and got good use out of washer/dryer. Bedrooms well appointed and shower really good. Great long weekend and enjoyed some lovely walks in the local area.

6 of us shared an excellent long weekend in extremely comfortable and well equipped accommodation. The pictures hardly did the Barn justice and the area provided much to see. The weather too behaved itself so drinks in the small courtyard were very pleasant. All of us would be very happy to return for the next 70th birthday.
